Essential oils
have long left the territory of elite spa salons.
Today they are used in cosmetics and cleaning products. And of course, essential oils are used in aromatherapy. But among the huge amount of information that can be found on the Internet, it is difficult to find the answer to the main question: how beneficial are essential oils?
Essential oil for aroma lamps has a reputation as a universal remedy for all problems.
Headache? Rub your whiskey with menthol oil. Memory problems? Pour a few drops of rosemary oil into a diffuser. It's hard to know which of this is true. People have been using essential oils for thousands of years. Even the ancient Greeks and ancient Romans valued lavender oil for its calming effect. Experience using essential oils suggests that they have some beneficial properties. I decided to find out how beneficial essential oils are for health, and what scientists think about it. At the end of the article you will find the best essential oils for aroma lamps
that really work.
What is essential oil?
Essential oil
is a natural substance that is obtained from plants by distillation with water, steam or cold pressing (citrus peel oil).
As a result of this process, vegetable oils acquire a highly concentrated form. Essential oil is the “essence” of a plant, which contains the most beneficial plant elements. The essential oil got its name due to its ability to evaporate when exposed to air. In addition, essential oil can evaporate even at room temperature. To produce high-quality essential oils, light fractions
.
But sometimes heavy fractions
.
This is quite easy to check. Apply one drop of essential oil to a piece of paper. If the oil evaporates without leaving greasy stains, then there are no heavy fractions in it. Essential oils interact with olfactory receptors, which are connected to the limbic system. The limbic system
controls
heart rate
,
blood pressure
,
breathing
, and
stress hormones
. Thus, essential oil for aroma lamp can affect the body. Each essential oil is individual. And of course, different essential oils have their own effects on the body.
How does aromatherapy work?
All essential oils have a unique chemical composition that will affect the olfactory receptors differently. The most popular essential oils consist of 5000
(!!!) chemical elements.
Essential oils include various biological compounds: growth factors
,
hormones
and
neurotransmitters
, which are concentrated in the plant.
Because different essential oils come from different plants, these components (and their effectiveness) will vary. Essential oils can enter into complex biochemical interactions in the human body. Different essential oils can have different effects on human enzymes and hormones. For example, one of the active ingredients in tea tree
oil is
Terpinen-4-ol
, which kills ectoparasites (parasites that live on human skin) and amoebas that cause eye infections.
It is important to understand that essential oils can be 100 times more effective than the plant itself. And you can notice the effect after a few drops or inhaling a pleasant aroma. The active ingredients in essential oils target triggers in our body. For example, lavender oil the
cerebral cortex and causes a feeling of relaxation. And of course, a lot depends on how the essential oil is used. You can rub essential oil into your skin, use it in a diffuser or aroma lamp.
Aromatherapy for women - natural beauty in your hands
March 28, 2015
It all started with a simple trip to a cosmetologist, 8 years ago, for a mesotherapy procedure. From there the question was born: “Is beauty really so painful and so expensive?” And that’s when I began to look for other ways to stay beautiful, young and attractive.
Natural beauty doesn't just apply to the face. When I talk about natural beauty, I, of course, exclude Botox, pumped-up lips, hair and eyelash extensions, and nails. I welcome natural makeup that emphasizes the dignity and beauty of a woman’s face, body care, spa treatments, massage, baths, hammam, and, of course, aromatherapy. Behind all this lies the most important thing - the condition of a woman. This is what she brings to the home, family, and the world. With the help of the state, everything around is filled with beauty!
Now on the cosmetology market you can find a lot of interesting products to maintain your beauty, youth, facial skin and your body in good shape.
In the field of psychology there are also a lot of trainings, seminars, practices that help you get out of previous programs of sadness, suffering, grief and begin to see the joy of life in the little things, and through the little things come to deep states.
But in our city rhythm we really want everything to happen quickly. We go from one place to another, from one practice to another, to find what will “save” us right now.
And the rhythms of nature are never in a hurry, with the exception of the highlands, where nature in a short period tends to wake up, bloom, bear fruit and go back to sleep.
In the rhythms of nature, everything is natural, and everything has its time. Moreover, nature is exposed to various natural manifestations, and its body is hardened by the sun, wind, cold, heat, rain, lightning, hail, and temperature changes. And what is in nature can bring great benefits to humans.
Nature is energetically much stronger and more resilient than humans. Being in contact with nature is the most powerful way to return to your nature, inner strength and potential.
For me, one of the ways to return to myself and self-healing is aromatherapy.
Aromatherapy is the effect on the human body as a whole (physical body, psyche, nervous system, subtle bodies) with the help of aromas and essential oils.
The mechanism of action of aromatherapy is very simple, and is based primarily on the sense of smell. Also, the active components of fragrances penetrate the body through the skin and mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.
Smell is one of the channels of perception of the surrounding world. Through our sense of smell, we sense danger before we see it. The sense of smell evokes different associations in us and can change our mood. Through the sense of smell, many areas of the human body are affected.
Aromatherapy uses many methods of influence, and they all fit into three groups:
- Inhalations;
- External use;
- Internal use.
Using any of the aromatherapy methods requires a competent attitude and special knowledge. Therefore, it is always important to consult with experts in the field before using essential oils.
The healing properties of essential oils are varied: antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, local anesthetic, regenerating, antiallergic, antidepressant, etc.
In general, all essential oils have an effect on the mental sphere in the form of stimulation, relaxation and adaptogenic effect (help to adapt to new conditions) and, of course, relieve stress.
All this has a wonderful side effect - the skin of the face and body becomes beautiful, healthy and youthful. And now you no longer have to go to an expensive session with a cosmetologist for a Botox injection.
To use aromatherapy in life, it is very important to consider some aspects:
- Quality of essential oils;
- Contraindications;
- Indications for use;
- Dosages.
In my practice, there have been many interesting cases of transformation of both people and space with the help of essential oils. But it’s better not to talk about it, but to try and feel it.
In aromatherapy, the place and time of impact on a specific problem and situation matters. The result is preserved families, changes in a woman, a transition from the state of a bitch to a state of softness and beauty in all manifestations: communication, appearance, life.
What aromatherapy gives to women:
- First of all - yourself...
- Secondly - yourself again!
Balance, calm, mindfulness. It’s as if she’s opening the locks on those chests that a woman has hidden inside due to negative experiences, fears, children’s programs, and grievances against men.
A woman can easily use Aromatherapy for her beauty, body, and home. For cosmetic purposes, to reveal your own and your partner’s sexuality, for a delicious aroma and atmosphere in the house, for the health of yourself and your loved ones.
With wishes to find your flavor of life,
Elena Korolkova-Rankevich.
What should you pay attention to when choosing an essential oil?
Many essential oil manufacturers report that their products are "certified"
or
"approved"
.
But make no mistake, there is no certification procedure for essential oils. But there are ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards that regulate the quality of essential oil. According to these standards, essential oils must be pure and natural. A good sign is the ISO
standard indicated on the label .
But how do you know that you are dealing with a natural product? High-quality essential oil for aroma lamps does not leave marks on clean white paper. Additionally, the essential oil should not smell like alcohol
or have
a rancid odor
.
I do not recommend choosing cheap essential oil for an aroma lamp. Such oil is almost guaranteed to contain synthetic
or
mineral oils
.
Another thing worth paying attention to is the country of origin
.
Only essential oils that are produced from plants that grow in abundance in the region are trustworthy. synthetic essential oils
on store shelves .
As a rule, they cost much less than natural ones. Manufacturers promise that synthetic essential oil for aroma lamps is no different from natural oil. However, synthetic essential oil for aroma lamps rarely contains all the substances that can be found in natural ones. Finally, essential oils may contain pesticides
and
toxins
that are applied to plants.
Therefore, I advise you to choose brands that use environmentally friendly
raw materials.
And don't forget, essential oil should be stored in a cool, dark place
. I recommend buying essential oil for the aroma lamp in a dark bottle that protects the liquid from direct sunlight.

What is the best way to use essential oil for aromatherapy?
There are many ways to use essential oils, but aromatherapy is the most popular and safest. For thousands of years, people have inhaled the pleasant aromas of essential oils. You can use an aroma lamp, a diffuser, or simply drop essential oil into a bowl of hot water. But be sure to follow the rules. The ideal time for aromatherapy is 15-60 minutes
.
Never inhale an essential oil for more than one hour at a time. And always follow the instructions on the package. If you have medical
condition or
are taking medications
, contact your doctor for advice.
In any case, use one or two drops of one oil at a time. What do we have to do? Stand half a meter
away from the diffuser and take
10 deep breaths
, then continue breathing normally. If you stick to safe times and ventilate the room after your aromatherapy session, you can practice aromatherapy every day.
What is it used for?
Essential oil can be used in a variety of ways depending on the purpose and desired effect.
Oil burner
This method allows you to disinfect indoor air, improve your mood and vitality, prevent colds, and also carry out an “anti-stress” procedure.
An aroma lamp is a container into which the necessary oil should be dripped; under the container there is a place to place a candle. A burning candle evaporates the oil and saturates the room with its vapor. There are also options in the form of lamps powered by electricity.
Aromatic bath
A great way to improve the general condition of the body, tidy up the skin and simply relax after a hard day at work. The oil can be diluted with vegetable oil or poured into sea salt. The duration of this procedure is 15-20 minutes, and the water temperature should not exceed 38 degrees.
Inhalation
This manipulation is designed to get rid of the first signs of a cold and become an excellent means of prevention for frequently ill people.
Add 1-2 drops per 100 ml into a pan of hot boiled water. Then you should bend over the pan, cover yourself with a towel and breathe in the steam for 15 minutes.
Enrichment of cosmetics
This procedure allows you to get rid of a number of problems on the face: eliminate acne, tone and rejuvenate the epidermis, and restore a fresh and rested appearance. To do this, add oil to the cream at the rate of 5 drops per 150 ml. Alternatively, you can add 1-2 drops to 100 ml of water, pour into molds, then freeze. This ice is ideal for restoring freshness and youth to your face.
Of course, selecting an oil depending on the purpose of use can be difficult. We will help users understand:
- for ARVI, it is recommended to use sage, pine, fir, eucalyptus;
- for stress – rosemary, lavender, bergamot, orange;
- to eliminate insomnia – rose, vanilla, chamomile, mint;
- for decreased tone and apathy – mint, pine, citruses;
- for acne – mint, tea tree oil, chamomile;
- migraine – lavender, thyme, ginger.
Does essential oil have side effects?
Essential oil is a fairly safe remedy for various problems. But you may also experience some side effects. Citrus-based essential oils (orange, lemon and bergamot) are photosensitizers and can cause sunburn if applied directly to the skin, especially when undiluted. Some essential oils are toxic to the nervous system and liver (for example, tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil). They should be used with caution by children, the elderly and pregnant women. And some essential oils (for example, wormwood oil) can cause uterine contractions. Therefore, it is not recommended for pregnant women. And of course, essential oil can cause an allergic reaction. Therefore, it is not recommended for allergy sufferers, asthmatics and people with respiratory diseases (airway diseases). But overall, essential oils are safe when it comes to aromatherapy.

Essential oils against cellulite
In the fight against this worst enemy of all women, we suggest you make massage oil with the following composition. You will need 70-80 ml of jojoba oil, 10 drops each of juniper and rosemary essential oils, essential oils of geranium, orange and a few drops, literally 2-3 cypress. Mix all these oils, apply the resulting massage oil to a hard sponge or brush and rub into areas damaged by cellulite or into its new growths. Massage with essential oil and massage again! Regular massage will slow down the formation of new wrinkles, smooth out existing ones, and prevent future ones. Take 50 ml of avocado essential oil, 10 drops of orange, 5 drops each of rose and sandalwood oil. Mix them and apply the resulting mixture twice a day (morning and before bed) to problem areas of your hands. Rufina Ugryumova for https://fammeo.ru
