How to warm up in a cold room: move more

Movement is life. Everyone knows about this old saying. Physical activity not only makes us cheerful, energetic, fit and beautiful, but it also warms us up in a cold room

.

Immediately after waking up, when you don’t want to get out of a warm bed, squat, jump, bend from one side to the other, do abs or do something else.

These simple exercises raise your heart rate and improve blood circulation, causing your body temperature to increase and your body to adapt to room temperature.

How to keep warm outside in winter?

If it so happens that you need to spend some time outside in the cold, then try using the following recommendations:

  • Move. As soon as a person stops moving, he freezes, so try to be in motion all the time. If possible, you can run, walk quickly or squat. In cases where this would be inappropriate, it is enough to wave your arms a few times from time to time;
  • Move your fingers. This simple method, known since childhood, is truly effective. You can rub your hands together or roll a pencil/pen in them. As for the toes, you need to move them all the time, and in order to do this comfortably, you should buy winter shoes of the right size, taking into account that even if you put on warm socks, your toes will not be cramped;
  • Laugh. If in the cold you are left outside not alone, but with friends or acquaintances, then it’s time to remember funny jokes or stories. In this case, laughter will not only prolong your life, as scientists say, but will also help you avoid freezing;
  • Eat. Even if it seems to you that you are not hungry, small portions of food in cold weather will be very helpful. It is especially useful to pay attention to foods rich in proteins - as they are digested, body temperature rises;
  • Drink it hot. On the street, when the temperature is below 0°, it is the consumption of hot drinks that perfectly warms you from the inside. If you like non-standard combinations, then this is a big plus. For example, coffee with black pepper or tea with pieces of ginger are excellent drinks for winter. But even if you drink hot compote, milk, green tea or other drinks, this will also be beneficial.

Perhaps you have your own effective ways to quickly warm up in winter, despite the frost and wind. Feel free to use them if they are proven and reliable, because life and health depend on it.
