early years
Ekaterina Sediq was born on December 6, 1988 in sunny Krasnodar, in a friendly family where everyone loved, appreciated and protected each other. The parents tried to develop all the abilities of their daughter that she showed in childhood.
Ekaterina Sedik in childhood
Katya trained for a long time on the tennis court, and studied vocals a lot and persistently. The girl sang so well that the music school teachers had high hopes for her wonderful dramatic soprano.
However, Katya had another hobby to which she devoted all her free time - the school theater club. Not a single performance staged by teachers and students was complete without her. Therefore, everyone around saw Katya as a future stage star.
Ekaterina Sedik in her youth
And how she surprised her parents, teachers and friends when, having received a certificate, Katya entered an economics university without any hesitation! Katerina even received a diploma and managed to work for some time in her specialty. But she was irresistibly attracted to creativity - and the girl decided to radically change her life: in 2010, she entered the acting department of the famous GITIS, a course for Russian theater masters Sergei Golomazov and Pavel Chomsky.
While still a student, Katerina repeatedly became the heroine of theater reviews in many media outlets, because The sincerity and emotional intensity of her performances in various productions aroused keen interest among viewers and critics. Thanks to the frequently appearing photos and videos of Ekaterina Sedik on the Internet, magazines and on television screens, the recognition of the aspiring actress began to grow at a rapid pace.
Ekaterina Sedik on the stage of the theater
In 2014, Katerina became a certified actress and was immediately accepted into the Creative Association of Sergei Golomazov's workshops. At the same time, she accepted an offer from the management of the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya to join the regular staff of the troupe.
Actor career
The young talented actress began her career on the theater stage. She has superbly played roles in the plays “Wolves and Sheep”, “Three Sisters”, “Uncle Vanya”, “The Peasant Young Lady”, “The Secret of the Old Closet”, “Retro”, etc.
Very precise acting work, precise to the millimeter, gentle beauty and feminine charm of Catherine attracted the attention of film directors to her. And soon they started talking about Sedik as a real discovery of Russian cinema.
For the first time, the girl appeared in projects of the TNT channel - the comedy sitcoms “Friendship of Peoples” (2013) and “SashaTanya” (2013-2018). It was an excellent school for an actress taking her first steps in cinema: after all, she had the opportunity to play together with wonderful masters of comedy series: Ekaterina Skulkina, Valentina Rubtsova, Andrei Gaidulyan and others.

Then Ekaterina, at the invitation of director K. Demidov, took part in the filming of the short film “Ask Me About Easements” (2016) and the crime series “Bouncer” (Alexandra’s sister Katya, 2016). Professional “study” on the set continued: Katerina was lucky to work side by side with wonderful actors Gela Meskhi, Anastasia Panina, Dmitry Maryanov.

The desire for self-improvement and the huge range of talent of the promising actress allowed her to climb a step higher on the professional ladder: in 2020, she was among those who received an invitation to star in a long-term project - the historical drama “Men and Women.” Ekaterina in the role of Varya was extremely organic, playing in this film saga with Dmitry Pevtsov, Anna Kazyuchits and Daniil Spivakovsky.
In the same 2020, Ekaterina Sedik’s filmography was replenished with the kind and cheerful comedy “Street,” where the actress shone in the role of businesswoman Larisa. The popular project brought together young but already famous actors into one team - such as Marina Bogatova, Lelya Baranova, Sergei Zmicherevsky, Pavel Savinkov and others.

The heroine Sedik does not appear in the series right away. This is a purposeful girl who is used to achieving everything herself. The result is a network of fish stores in the most fashionable places in the city. She offered a job to Andrei (Pavel Savinkov) in one of them, but their relationship clearly goes beyond the boundaries of boss and subordinate, despite Andrei’s beautiful wife Lyuba (Sonya Resnyanskaya).
Biography
Ekaterina Vulichenko was born on June 8, 1980 in Moscow into the family of a military man. Due to the specifics of the father’s profession, the family often changed their place of residence, moving from one garrison to another. From an early age, Catherine established herself as an active, one might say, restless child. Her pranks in kindergarten caused a lot of trouble for the teachers. There was a moment when they even wanted to expel young Katya, and only the intervention of her father helped to avoid this.

At school, Ekaterina Vulichenko kept herself apart from her classmates.
“Very often at school, children are very cruel, they form their own clans, I didn’t like all this. I often disagreed with the general opinion; I don’t like coalitions,” says the actress. Advertising:
In her youth, Catherine dreamed of becoming an astronaut. Then she became interested in mathematics, and therefore her parents transferred her to a school with a mathematical bias. True, the hobby quickly passed, and the girl did not stay there long. She, by her own decision, transferred to the theater class, and at the same time began to attend school at the Shchepkinsky School.

First works on screen
By that time, Ekaterina Vulichenko had already managed to “light up” on the screen - in the popular children’s humorous television magazine “Yeralash”. The actress herself talks about how this happened: “This is a funny story about how I ended up in a messy casting. I was walking through the school and saw a huge crowd. I was the smallest in the class, so I couldn’t see what the crowd was all about. I approach two girls from behind, lean on their shoulders and start jumping up and down with all my might. And then I see a girl pointing at me: “And you!” It turns out that on that day, schoolchildren were selected for auditions for Yeralash.
And in high school, Ekaterina made her debut in a real feature film. Then representatives of the film crew of director Nikolai Lebedev came to their school at the Shchukin School, looking for a girl to play the role of... a corpse. In the thriller “Snake Spring” there was a scene where a dead girl, the victim of a maniac, lay in a coffin. Catherine was not superstitious, but she somehow didn’t want to start with such an uninteresting role. However, she went to the audition, and, as it turned out, it was not in vain. There she was simultaneously tested for the role of Zinochka, the young and simple-minded wife of one of the heroes, and then was successfully approved.
To star in the same film with such actors as Olga Ostroumova and Evgeny Mironov for her, a 16-year-old schoolgirl! It was just fantastic! True, because of her burr, Ekaterina was not trusted to voice her character, inviting another actress for this - the now famous and popular Maria Poroshina. But that didn’t matter anymore...
Choice of profession
At school, Ekaterina studied well and was worthy of a silver medal. And although she had been studying at a theater school for the last two years, she still intended to enroll in the philology department. Filming in “Snake Spring” made adjustments to Catherine’s plans. Due to filming, the girl missed a significant part of school time and the state exam. She had to retake it, and because of this, the silver medal “floated away”.
At that moment, Ekaterina decided to try her hand at a theater university before entering the philology department. Although the parents were against this profession, knowing their daughter’s stubborn character, they did not interfere with her. Ekaterina submitted documents to the Shchepkinsky Theater School and was accepted there on the first attempt to the course of V. Safronov. And this despite her burr!
However, the speech impediment still became a problem for the girl. In her second year, at the insistence of the stage speech department, they were going to expel her, believing that such students should not, in principle, study at a theater university. Artistic director Vladimir Alekseevich Safronov stood up for Catherine. But at the same time he remarked to the girl: “Katya! If you don’t correct the letter “r” over the summer, I will expel you personally!” Between the second and third years, Catherine found herself the best teacher, borrowed money and began to study hard. By the third year, her diction was already all right...
Beginning of the century. First successes
In 2001, Ekaterina Vulichenko graduated from VTU named after. M. S. Shchepkina, after which she worked for one year at the Modern Theater. At this time, cinema entered her life firmly and for a long time...
During her student years, Ekaterina Vulichenko did not act in films - students were prohibited from doing so. But after graduation, offers began to appear one after another. The directors were impressed by the beautiful, bright, textured young actress. Ekaterina feels special gratitude to Nikolai Lebedev, with whom she once made her screen debut. Now, in 2002, he again invited her to his feed. In the war film “Star”, Ekaterina played the main female role – radio operator Katya Simakova. To better immerse herself in the character, the actress specifically read books and watched documentaries. The director also helped, teaching her how to use a walkie-talkie.
The most unforgettable moment on the set was the bombing scene. Ekaterina Vulichenko says: “If you remember, in the first frame of “Zvezda” I am running under bombing. The director showed me the trajectory of how to run: “Here and here there will be explosions.” We rehearsed everything. I kept thinking: how to play so that the audience believes that I am scared? As a result, when the “Motor!” signal sounded. and the explosives technicians began their work, I thought I would die of a broken heart. I shied away from exploding bombs - I don’t even know if I was running along the trajectory...”
Ekaterina had the chance to play the role of a front-line girl and, moreover, a radio operator again, in another famous film: the Russian-Belarusian film “At a Nameless Height.” There her heroine's name was Lida. Among the works of the early 2000s are also: provincial Natasha, who agreed to become a surrogate mother for a family of childless Americans in Valery Akhadov’s melodrama “A Free Woman”; fashion designer Varvara Elesina, who achieved great success in Moscow, but decided to return to the province, in Pavel Snisarenko’s melodrama “Samara” -town".
Cinema and theater are two sides of the same profession
By the mid-2000s, Ekaterina Vulichenko had gained sufficient fame among viewers. This was facilitated by work in popular films and television series. Moreover, the actress appeared both in episodic roles (the maid in the film “State Councilor”, Dunya in the film adaptation of “The Golden Calf”) and in the main roles. In 2005, she played the ambitious provincial Nadezhda, who came to conquer Moscow, in the melodrama directed by Andrei Benkendorf "Bankers", in 2006 - Katya in the melodrama "Tango of Love", Elena in the melodrama "Women's Tears" and Natasha in the series "Farty" ( in this film, the red-haired actress had to transform into a blonde).
It is worth noting that while starring in TV series, Ekaterina deliberately avoided taking part in “long-term” projects. In one interview, she admitted: “I don’t want to shine for two hundred episodes in a row. The series is instant recognition, but this coin has two sides; you can become quickly famous, but remain a slave to one role. I don’t want to give examples, but they are well known to everyone. Whatever one may say, the series is pouring from empty to empty. It seems to me that I would just shoot for more than two hundred episodes to flash in one setting.” However, she did make an exception once - she played the role of Dasha in “Tatya’s Day.” As she herself says, she did it for the sake of her mother, a big fan of this series: “... when I was offered to participate, I decided to surprise her and agreed to filming.”
In parallel with filming, Ekaterina Vulichenko also works on stage: since 2005 she has been an actress at the Film Actor Theater. Ekaterina is busy in such productions as: “All about Eve” (Eve), “The Marriage of Figaro” (Suzanne), “The Fool” (Phinea). As for comparing the stage and the film set, the actress notes that it is impossible to look at such different things from one position. Working in the theater helps her feel the enormous emotional charge coming from the audience, “fuels” it and helps her cope with the stress of film.
Movie. 2008-2013
Appearing on the screen, Ekaterina Vulichenko invariably attracts the attention of viewers. And it’s not just about his textured appearance (you can’t survive on that for long), but about his undoubted acting talent and inimitable feminine charm. That’s why directors invite her to play roles with such pleasure.
From 2008 to 2012 alone, Ekaterina Vulichenko starred in almost three dozen films! Among the most striking works: Sasha in the melodrama by Vyacheslav Aleshechkin “From Prison and from Bags”, Olya in the melodrama by Alexander Kananovich “Nine Signs of Treason”, Nadya Mitrofanova in the crime film “Special Correspondent of the Investigation Department”, Lyuba in the military series “Faith, Hope, Love” ”, Verka in the melodrama by Alexei Rudakov “I will never forget you”, Nadya in the melodrama by Vera Storozheva “Divorce”, cashier at the grocery store Nadya in the drama “Once Upon a Time in Rostov”.
Personal life
Ekaterina Vulichenko is married to Denis Trifonov. The husband has nothing to do with the acting profession; he is engaged in consulting. They met at the airport when Ekaterina was flying to Kyiv to shoot another film, and Denis was on a business trip. At that time, Denis had already lived in London for several years and was little familiar with Russian cinema, so he did not know about such an actress as Ekaterina Vulichenko. He simply paid attention to the beautiful girl and, as he himself admits, fell in love at first sight. They exchanged phone numbers, then started dating...
Married to Denis Trifonov, Ekaterina had a daughter, Sophia, in 2006.
Not a word of truth in the article, except for the list of roles

I wonder who has such a wild imagination? Everything that is written in the article, except for the list of roles, has nothing to do with reality. Everything is exactly the opposite. And the diction has not changed at all :))

Personal life of Ekaterina Sedik
Ekaterina Sedik is not one of those who likes to dedicate the public to the details of her private life. All her thoughts were always aimed at only one thing - developing her career, so, according to the actress, she never had enough time for a serious relationship with anyone.
Ekaterina Sedik and her on-screen husband Pavel Savinkov
Filming, choreography classes, attending master classes and lectures for actors fill all the girl’s days, and in between filming and performances she travels, trying to see the world; meets with friends in cheerful companies; goes to theaters to enjoy the performances of his colleagues. She plays sports, goes to the gym, and loves to swim in the pool.
Ekaterina Vulichenko: “Katya, you will manage everything”
Photo: Ksenia Andrienko
During the conversation, Katya managed to joke, smile, said that everything would be done in one hour and assured: “We’ll have time for everything!”
– You once said that you manage to do everything because you know how to combine two types of activities, for example, like today – filming and interviews...
Article continues after advertisement
– I have no other choice, to be honest, because in this world you have to keep up with everything. This is a necessity. And I force myself. Not talent, but a system developed over the years.
– Perhaps you have to give up something?
- Certainly. I can't live without a diary. When I realize that today there are 580 things to do in different parts of the city, I say to myself: “Katya, you will manage everything.” I calm down and really get everything done.
– What, in your opinion, is more important for a woman – to be realized in a profession or to be a mother?
– Each person chooses what is close to him. I adhere to the old views - a woman should be a woman, and a man should be a man. Today, however, everyone has changed roles. But a man must still be the head of the family, be strong.
– An ideal man... What is he like for you?
– No matter how trite it sounds, first of all, a man must be a man. Smart, kind, strong. Beauty is, of course, wonderful, but not so important. Love is the main thing... maybe someone says that a marriage of convenience is stronger and more stable. Not for me. I am for love.
– Is it possible to maintain a good relationship with your ex-spouse?
– You can save the relationship. It just depends on both. If normal people parted on good terms, then anything is possible.
– Everyday life can kill love, what do you think?
– Living together is hard work. After all, everyone has their own habits. And the older you get, the less you want to cheat on them. Again, compromises work. You need to hide some of your ambitions in everyday life.

– I recently interviewed Ekaterina Guseva and Maria Poroshina. The three of you are united by the film “Snake Spring”. Maria voiced your character, and for Katya and for you this is a debut in a big movie...
– I was a schoolgirl when I starred in this film. And I didn’t even receive a silver medal, because I had to skip the exam due to filming. Then they wrote me some piece of paper that I had suffered from hives, but I still took the exam alone. There was no medal, but I don’t regret it. I think “Snake Spring” is no worse than a silver medal. The 90s were a time when films were not made at all. That year, as far as I remember, only five films were made. One of them is “Country of the Deaf”...
– How did you get cast?
– I studied at the theater school at the Shchukin School. An acting assistant found me in the dining room and invited me to audition for a series that was to be directed by Nikolai Lebedev. And when he started preparing for filming, he remembered me and called me to play the role of... a corpse. There was such a scary scene where a dead girl lies in a coffin and her mouth suddenly opens. But during the audition I was offered a longer role, Zinochki. And I called my classmate Anna Makarova to play the role of the corpse. Before that I was going to be a philologist. But everyone tried to persuade me to study as an actress. I myself was sure that I wouldn’t get in because I couldn’t pronounce the letter “r”.
– How did you get your hands on the script for the TV movie “Once Upon a Time in Rostov”?
– Filming began back in 2008. And when they sent this script, there were no free days in my work schedule, but I really wanted to act. I was approved, but there was no time! I stood on my own and worked day and night. I slept in fits and starts - in the car, in the makeup van. But it was worth it. The role of Nadia is one of my favorites.
– Recently, fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev praised your style of clothing. Are you your own stylist?
– I was very pleased to read those comments in the magazine. If I can say hello to him now, I want to do it. I don't have a stylist. I am conservative in clothes. I know which styles suit me, and I choose only them. This has its advantages. But at significant events we are dressed by stylists from various glossy publications. I'm interested in taking advice and trying new things. Sometimes a person looks at you with fresh eyes and recommends something that she herself would never even take off the hanger. I'm for this idea!
– Are you a flexible person?
- Mmm... trying. I had a sin in my youth - I said what I thought and was a terrible fighter for justice. But life has shown that this is not possible. I am for the truth, but now I understand that sometimes it is not worth telling it. She became less harsh in her judgments.
– This is not the first time we’ve met, I get the feeling that you’re always in a good mood...
– We are all prone to reflection. I try not to throw out negative emotions on people. When you are in a good mood, others feel good too. Life itself is not an easy thing, and if you also spread vibes of hatred, it will become really bad.
– Katya, what do you want something special, something new?
– I would like to play some costumed role. Well, in my personal life everything is fine - I can’t complain.
