Interview with Ekaterina Mirimanova

System of Ekaterina Mirimanova

Many women, trying to achieve their desired figure, are ready to try any diet. However, as a rule, any diet includes quite strict restrictions, and after spending several days on a diet, many women break down by eating a forbidden product, and then completely give up on the process of losing weight.

Against the backdrop of such numerous diets, Ekaterina Mirimanova’s system looks more than attractive, since there is no need to adhere to strict restrictions.

Who is she?

In fact, Ekaterina Mirimana is not a nutritionist, not a doctor or a personal trainer... Nothing of the kind! This is an ordinary woman who, after the birth of her child, reached her extreme point of 120 kg and realized that she could not move further in this direction. And Katya pulled herself together. Having tried a lot of recipes, tips and diets, Ekaterina came up with her own system, which in 1.5 years helped her lose exactly half the weight.

This is where the name of the minus 60 system came from. Katya, being a talented journalist, wrote about 30 books, hastening to share her success with women and tell them how to achieve the coveted figure.

Power system from Mirimanova

If you were inspired by the example of an ordinary woman, then it’s time to figure out what her system is.

However, without a preliminary attitude, as Mirimanova claims, you can’t get anywhere! This is where we need to start. So:

Get started now!

Mature internally that you are ready to lose weight. Realize that you can no longer come up with 1000 excuses. If you love yourself, then it's time to show it, firstly, to yourself. As soon as you feel this, start the diet immediately: not tomorrow, not on Monday, but right now.

Adapt gradually!

No matter what passion you have, it is quite difficult to completely reshape your life and long-term habits in three days. That's why take small steps every day. Tune in to the fact that the weight will go away gradually, and not instantly.

Time!

To stick to this diet. You'll have to watch your meal times.

If you are ready, then go ahead and get acquainted with the rules of the minus 60 diet.

Interview with Ekaterina Mirimanova

Ekaterina Mirimanova: “I’m generally against diets!”

Perhaps it would not be an exaggeration to call Ekaterina Mirimanova the author of the most popular weight loss system in Russia. If there are any women left who have never heard of the “Minus 60” system and the story of Catherine’s “reduction” by 60 kg, then their number is constantly decreasing. Ekaterina Mirimanova answers liters questions and conveys warm greetings to her readers from sunny Spain!

About the “Minus 60” system and effective diets

– Is there a difference between a diet, a weight loss system, and proper nutrition?

– Proper nutrition implies giving up fatty and sweet foods, the system does not. The system certainly has nothing to do with diet, because at Minus 60 you can really eat everything, even what you’re thinking about now. And at the same time effectively lose weight. The example of more than three million followers is proof of this.

– What are the typical mistakes made by those losing weight using the “Minus 60” system? How to avoid them?

– The main mistakes are precisely that some people perceive the system as a diet and introduce strict restrictions, refuse flour and sweets, and eventually break down. Another common “wrongness” is that people begin to break slowly, believing that nothing bad will happen, and then they wonder why they don’t lose weight. The system always works, but it is often important that the person is referred. That's why I started hosting webinars so people could identify their mistakes early on.

– Many people think: “I’ll lose weight, and then...”. How has your life changed since you achieved your goal?

– In fact, just losing weight doesn’t change your life. It changes when you make an effort to change it. Just imagine, if I just lost weight and calmed down, would I become the person I became? No. What I have achieved is not the fruit of losing weight, but the result of many years of daily work, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

– What do you think prevents people from losing excess weight? And what motivation is the most effective?

– I like to compare gluttony with alcoholism and drug addiction, because the causes of excess weight are always

are hidden in the head. There are no women who gained weight out of the blue! Hundreds of people pass through my hands every day, and many deny the existence of internal problems, but in reality, the more internal problems are denied, the deeper they sit. The most correct motivation is self-love, but developing it, despite its apparent simplicity, is very difficult.

– Many people find it difficult to adhere to dietary restrictions. How to survive another breakdown with minimal losses?

– Just go back to the classic system. In principle, the probability of a breakdown occurring on the system is not so great if you adhere to it correctly.

– In your opinion, what does the formula for successful weight loss consist of? Is it possible to achieve results only with diet?

– Yes, you can lose weight through nutrition. But with exercise, you will look much better and lose weight faster.

Books about weight loss and more

– You had a very interesting project with Anna and Sergei Litvinov, their results are simply stunning. Tell us about your collaboration. Are you satisfied with the results?

– Yes, we really enjoyed working together, because both Anya and Seryozha are very easy-going and positive people who are able to listen to the opinions of other people. I think I won’t be lying if I say that we all remember this work with warmth.

– Most readers know you as the author of books about weight loss, but you also published a trilogy, “The Book of Changes,” with a completely different theme. What was it like working in a new genre? Do you plan to develop in this direction?

– Yes, I have published four fiction books. One autobiographical “Believe, Understand, Find” and a trilogy in the “magical realism” genre, which she wrote primarily for herself. I was divorced then, experienced the loss of someone close to me, my grandmother, and worked very hard, I felt that I needed to find a new point of support. And the “artist” became such a fulcrum for me. I always dreamed of trying myself in this genre, and I liked how it turned out. Another thing is that the books did not have widespread box office success, because it was necessary to promote them, but there was no effort, no time, no investment. Nevertheless, many books have been read, and the reviews are very positive. I even posted the first book, “The Ghost and Me,” on the Internet, with the permission of the publisher, naturally, so that as many people as possible could read it, because the first edition sold 10 thousand, and the publishing house didn’t want to print more of it: they were afraid that they wouldn’t be able to sell.

– Have your books been translated into other languages?

– Now I am in the process of translating a new book “Revolution” into Spanish. I hope it will appear on our Spanish shelves early next year. Also, several books have been translated into Bulgarian.

– Are Spanish women as obsessed with diets as Russians?

– Spanish women take much less care of themselves and are not so obsessed with beauty. But they are also concerned about excess weight issues.

Electronic books in Russia and abroad

– Do you read e-books? If yes, on which device?

– I have a Sony reader. I had to fall in love with e-books, because in emigration it is difficult to find books in Russian, and it is not always possible to transport them from Russia. Therefore, I accustomed myself to e-books and now for me they have become an integral part of life. I think that soon everyone will come to this, because it is cheaper, e-books do not take up space in our house, they are easy to take on vacation and you don’t need to waste time searching for them, you just download them in the store - and that’s it.

– How do you feel about Internet piracy?

- Naturally, it’s bad. On the other hand, if you really like a book, people will still buy it in paper form, and pirates to some extent promote books. For me, books are not the main source of income, which is probably why I take it more calmly.

– How do you think piracy can be defeated?

– Only by creating a legislative and executive framework. If a person knows that piracy is not only prosecuted by law, but that he can actually be imprisoned and fined for piracy, then the number of pirates will decrease significantly. I wouldn’t count on people’s consciousness. It seems to me that most of Russian society has not yet matured to consciousness.

– How do people treat intellectual property on the Internet in Spain?

– Just very impressive. And not only on the Internet. I remember I had to photocopy the last pages of a textbook for school; not a single copy center wanted to copy it for me, citing the fact that they couldn’t engage in piracy. I think this reflects reality very well. Although, of course, piracy also exists here, but to a much lesser extent.

E-books by Ekaterina Mirimanova

Basic Rules

  • Breakfast is required. At the same time, Mirimanova does not insist that it be dense. You can drink juice or coffee with toast and cheese, but you can’t skip it: this is the only way to start the metabolic process in the morning.
  • You can safely drink both coffee and alcohol. However, those who are used to drinking sugary drinks should switch to fructose or unrefined brown sugar instead of white sugar. In this case, your sugar dose should be gradually reduced: from two spoons to half. When allowing alcohol, Mirimanova advises choosing dry red wine: its sugar content is minimal.
  • There will be chocolate! Exactly! However, you should replace milk chocolate with dark chocolate. For those who don’t like it, Mirimanova advises buying chocolate with a minimum amount of cocoa at the beginning, the percentage of which should be gradually increased. Soon you will start to really enjoy it.
  • Let's say yes to the side dish! The ideal side dish is steamed rice, buckwheat and vegetables. Freshly frozen vegetables are just as healthy as fresh ones.
  • Bread is allowed! It's best to eat white bread. As a last resort, eat it exclusively in the first half of the day. In the remaining time - rye bread and crackers.
  • Pasta and potatoes are permissible, but under one condition: eat them in the first half of the day and without meat, for example, for breakfast. In the evening they are strictly prohibited.
  • We don't eat before bed. More precisely, you need to have dinner as early as possible. Adapt gradually, moving dinner time back an hour over and over again. Ideally, you should have dinner no later than 6:00 pm. Lack of stress on the stomach at night is very conducive to weight loss.
  • Water and salt - in reasonable quantities. Mirimanova claims that you need to drink, but it is not necessary to pour into yourself the “supplied” 1.5-2.0 liters of water. You can also use salt, but within reasonable limits.
  • No fasting days! Fasting days are stressful for the body, so don’t take on this additional burden.
  • Main meal + snacks. You need to eat three times a day. If hunger overcomes, then fruit snacks are possible.
  • Vitamins. Taking vitamin complexes will help your body get rid of extra pounds and help you maintain your morale.

Sport

At the same time, strive to make physical activity regular. Katya herself has developed a simple set of exercises: swings, bridges, bends, etc., but she does not insist on performing this particular set.

Skin care

Another point that Ekaterina does not recommend losing sight of. As you lose weight, fat will disappear and your skin will sag. To avoid such unpleasant consequences, as well as stretch marks and sagging, Mirimanova advises introducing several important procedures:

  • Skin scrubbing with natural coffee
  • Massage with body cream, in which you need to dissolve a mummy tablet, pre-mixed with a spoon of water

Features and important points of the diet

The now famous, attractive and successful Mirimanova Ekaterina previously ate like the vast majority of modern people. And there was no talk of separate meals. Fast food was consumed in unlimited quantities and there was no thought that it was incredibly harmful both for the figure and for health in general. But the main thing is that due to busyness, the main meal was dinner. There was simply no time for lunch at lunchtime, since the pace of life did not allow me to eat right. Only Catherine’s confident actions allowed her to change her diet and meal times.

Based on Mirimanova’s diet, dinner should not be later than 6 pm. If you want to treat yourself to all sorts of goodies, you can do this before noon. The calories received are consumed without a trace throughout the day. Of course, eat high-calorie foods such as cake, chocolate, etc. for breakfast. – this is wrong, because in the morning the body should receive a boost of energy, and not a ton of calories and fast carbohydrates. But, one way or another, if you want, then you can, but only until noon. Ekaterina’s personal observations showed that the modern rhythm of life will not allow morning calories to be deposited on problem areas of the body.

The most important element of the diet is the clock. You need to coordinate your every action in terms of nutrition with them. Until 12 noon, as already mentioned, you can eat whatever you want. For lunch you should exclude fried and smoked foods, and for dinner it’s easier to say what you can eat than what you can’t, since the list of prohibitions is long.

Breakfast is an obligatory meal of the day, since it is responsible for the activation of all metabolic processes in the body. Without breakfast, a person risks eating a much larger amount of food per day than with breakfast. Ekaterina Mirimanova did not indicate any serious restrictions for breakfast, indicating only that milk chocolate should be excluded. Those with a sweet tooth who cannot imagine a morning meal without something sweet can replace milk chocolate with dark chocolate.

Nutrition rules for Ekaterina Mirimanova’s “Minus 60” diet

Ekaterina Mirimanova’s “Minus 60” diet includes 3 main meals and 2 additional ones (for example, second breakfast and afternoon snack).

Breakfast: any food is allowed, except milk chocolate (replace with dark chocolate). Ekaterina Mirimanova recommends listening to your feelings - it is quite possible that soon you will not want to have fried potatoes with mayonnaise for breakfast. If you don't like to eat breakfast, then this habit will appear as soon as you start having a light dinner and not snacking at night. In the morning you will wake up with a feeling of slight hunger and in a completely natural way, without “violence” on yourself, you will agree to a hearty, healthy breakfast.

Lunch: At this meal, foods fried in oil are excluded; it is not recommended to combine meat or fish with pasta or potatoes. White rice should be replaced with brown rice and potatoes should not be added to meat soups. Until 14.00 it is allowed to add 1 tsp to dishes. mayonnaise or sour cream. You can eat fruit for an afternoon snack.

Dinner: Potatoes, pasta, legumes, green peas, corn, mushrooms and avocados, as well as any fried foods, are strictly prohibited. Recommended dinner options are meat without a side dish, rice or buckwheat with vegetables, fermented milk products with vegetables or fruits. Dinner should be no later than 18.00. Further, there is a complete taboo on any foods and dishes, even “the most weightless and low-fat ones,” and even “the smallest spoon.” This rule for diet 60 is one of the strictest.

In addition to the nutritional rules according to Ekaterina Mirimanova’s “Minus 60” diet, the author also recommends that you exercise regularly (at least do morning exercises) and do a body massage every day so that the skin has time to tone during the process of losing weight. Ideally, do a massage, combining it with a contrast shower and the use of a coffee scrub.
