How to look like a million without a million in your pocket

Rhinestones

From the very beginning, these shiny things raised doubts - is it worth it for an adult woman to introduce them into her image? Since the 00s, when sparkling stones were simply glued everywhere, from wedding and evening dresses to baseball caps and sports jersey, little has changed.

Rhinestones are not painted in any way and cannot be painted a priori. A lot of shine does not mean expensive. Try to imagine the legendary tweed suit from Coco Chanel covered in rhinestones. Or Queen Elizabeth's hat, studded with sparkling beads. And you will immediately understand everything yourself. To dress up your look, choose shimmering lurex fabric and a discreet cut. This is stylish.

Sometimes people associate female beauty with expensive cosmetic procedures. But I believe that a beautiful woman is a healthy woman who takes care of herself.

The appearance of every woman depends on three main factors: proper care, genetic inheritance and spiritual harmony.

Personal care

Proper care is elementary basic self-care: healthy food, sports, sleep patterns, hygiene, age-appropriate cosmetics and preventive examinations.

I try to follow all these rules: I do yoga, don’t drink too much alcohol, give preference to healthy food, don’t eat after seven and go to bed before eleven at night. Once every six months I definitely undergo examinations by a gynecologist, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, mammologist, and also take all the necessary tests.

I developed the habit of routine examinations in America. There, after an appointment with a mammologist or gynecologist, the woman is immediately scheduled for the next appointment. And then, when the time comes, they call back and remind you about the upcoming appointment with the doctor. This approach is the norm and helps keep health under control, so I am trying to instill a culture of prevention in Ukraine.

After all, immersed in household chores, women can simply forget about a routine examination. Echoes of the Soviet Union, where human lives and health were not valued at all, also make themselves felt. I have repeatedly heard the following phrase from the older generation: “What’s the point of going to the doctors - I’ll live as long as I’m destined.”

I believe that we came into this world with some kind of mission and every day is important. I try to convey this philosophy through the mouth of the foundation and, telling women, on my blog.

But it is worth noting that young people are already a little different. The guys try to take care of themselves, are interested, think, analyze. This is good, but for now these are only the first steps of a society that is learning to walk, and it’s time to run.

Harmony

Being in harmony with oneself is probably the most difficult thing for a person, but it can be fixed. You must try to look at the world with optimism, not envy anyone, go your own way, accept and love others as they are.

After all, the inner world, resentment and anger are displayed on the face of every person over the years. Sometimes it is enough just to look at an elderly woman and it immediately becomes clear whether she has an evil or kind character.

Heredity

Each person receives 50% of their genes from each of their parents. This includes appearance, character, preferences, and, unfortunately, many diseases. Therefore, doctors now pay special attention to family history. This knowledge can greatly help a person in the future to avoid possible health problems, as well as maintain youth longer.

My appearance is dominated by my father's oriental genes. He was a very handsome man, he looked young for a long time and skillfully emphasized this in a stylish, fashionable way. Despite the global shortage and monotony of Soviet-era clothing, dad managed to dress himself and mom and me fashionably. I remember how he went to St. Petersburg and brought things to my mother that not only fit her, but also looked perfect on her.

I also inherited this love for creativity, and in particular for fashion, from him. After all, by education and vocation I am an artist-fashion designer. After graduating from the theater and art school, I spent several years doing what I loved. Then she got married and together with her husband, in search of spiritual development, went to America. A new profession appeared in a new country. I passed the exam, received a license and got a job as a nurse in a dialysis center. These were five difficult years, but they gave me invaluable experience, knowledge and a desire to help other people, which then resulted in the decision to engage in charity.

"Kvitna"

My husband and I have been involved in charity work for a long time. This is an integral part of our life, because by giving something and helping others, we are fulfilled spiritually.

When we were raising money for the treatment of a woman with breast cancer, we decided to create a charitable foundation that would engage in awareness-raising activities and help save the lives of thousands of Ukrainian women at once. This is how “Kvitna” appeared.

The foundation is already more than four years old, it is developing by leaps and bounds and is already well recognized and respected in Ukraine. I am very proud of the success of Kvitna, and not only because it is our brainchild, but also because I see the results of the work.

Women often tell and write to me that after seeing the fund’s posters, they decide to make an appointment with a mammologist. Sometimes even acquaintances, when they meet me, say: “Oh, I need to sign up for a mammogram.”

This motivates us not to stop there.

Blog, fashion and style

Despite working full time, the need for creative work only grew over the years and was realized in my blog. It all started when friends called me and asked for advice on choosing clothes, combining colors, styles, and accessories. At some point, I decided to share my ideas with many people at the same time, posting them on Instagram. This is how the blog appeared. I run it myself, putting a piece of my soul into every message. The only person who helps me is my eldest daughter. All my photos on the blog are her work. She studies graphic design and enjoys photography.

The main goal of the blog is to teach women to love and take care of themselves. After all, many beauties, becoming mothers, give up on themselves and their needs, and transfer all their attention and care to their children. Often on the streets of the city you can see a stylishly and fashionably dressed baby next to his mother, who clearly doesn’t care what she looks like. While children are small, they do not pay attention to this, but as they grow up, they want their mother to be beautiful too. For example, recently my eleven-year-old son told me that he really likes going out to the store with me because his beautiful mother is walking next to him.

It is clear that not all people have developed taste from birth, but it can be instilled. I tell and show how to do this on my blog. I share fashion news and trends, tell you what can be combined with what, advise how to take into account your body shape, what is relevant and, conversely, should be removed from your wardrobe or worn differently to look modern. After all, we change and often outgrow the things we once loved.

A woman in a million is a well-groomed woman

If a woman wants to look like a millionaire, she must have washed and styled hair, moisturized skin, a light manicure, a minimum of makeup, a delicate and fresh perfume, as well as stylish clothes that highlight her winning sides. It is also important to use your colors in both cosmetics and clothing.

But most importantly, a woman worth a million should wear a smile that is reflected in the sparkle in her eyes.

Frills everywhere

In an image that claims to be chic, a maximum of one is allowed - along the shoulders, if it is a boho-style sundress, by the wrap or collar, if it is a dress or blouse.

A large number of frills here and there, especially with lace, are associated with Snowflake’s outfit for a children’s party. And it certainly doesn’t suit a woman with good taste, especially 40+. Ideally, leave the frills for a boudoir dressing gown. And go out in laconic jackets and sheath dresses with minimal decor.

Openwork tights with fishnet or pattern

It would seem that everything is obvious here: a sane woman, even on a dare, will not leave the house wearing red fishnet stockings or purple tights with green diamond patterns. But no! Sometimes even the most worthy ones pull on the openwork, in the most difficult cases - even decorated with sparkles. And confident that they look stylish, they go shopping, to a restaurant and even to the theater for the premiere.

Tights and stockings are great, they correct the shape of the legs and hide, for example, spider veins. A “dear” woman must wear them. But such that they are barely noticeable on the legs and do not have a lycra sheen. Taboo - pronounced flowers, stripes, inscriptions and other delights of Chinese designers.

How to look like a million?

You don't need to own a million to look the part. The refined and expensive appearance is the fruit of the efforts and hands of a master. All you need is the desire to develop your own style and a little effort. Hotshowlife

shares the main secrets that will allow you to always look like a million with a minimum of cost.

Avoid big names and brands

Undoubtedly, clothing says a lot about a person’s material condition. But don’t go too far—T-shirts with the words “D&G” and “Channel” look more cheap than respectable. People around you know perfectly well the approximate price of an original item, so why give them a reason to ridicule? It is unlikely that branded clothing would be made from low-quality synthetics or leather substitute. Cheap and not very high-quality things give themselves away first of all with loud inscriptions. Only wear Channel if it's Channel. Otherwise, trying to deceive society is useless.

Reduce your belongings by a third

It makes sense to save on wardrobe diversity in favor of its quality. Cut down on the number of clothes you buy; it’s better to buy one expensive dress instead of three cheap ones. Believe me, there is nothing better than quality things. People evaluate their interlocutor by appearance, paying attention to details. They don't count how many dresses you have in your wardrobe, but they do a great job of estimating them. Buy one really high-quality item to hear admiring exclamations.

Pay attention to details

We suggest taking an example from the French. This amazingly sophisticated and graceful nation knows how to maintain an impeccable appearance under any circumstances. How do the people of France manage to always be on top? They know a little secret: a person’s appearance is built on little things. Clothes can be discreet and laconic, but accessories should emphasize status. Have you ever heard the phrase that a wealthy man can be identified by his shoes and watch? A wealthy young man will not wear worn out shoes and a Chinese watch. He will definitely invest in his appearance and take care of quality details. Wrap this fact around your head and implement it in life. Work out the image down to the smallest detail, from jewelry to a phone case.

Be careful with perfume

Eau de toilette becomes a person’s calling card; it leaves a special trail of memorable scent. There is a fine line where a perfume goes from elegant to tasteless. It should be understood that perfumes should not be felt by others at a distance of several meters, causing attacks of nausea. Use perfume sparingly to add just a hint of fragrance. A simple rule will help you stay within reasonable limits: perfume should not be smelled by the owner. If you can clearly smell your own eau de toilette on your skin or clothes, you have overdone it. And one more thing: perfumes, like accessories, must be of high quality. Fork out for a bottle of expensive luxury perfume - it is consumed much more economically than cheap copies and smells more pleasant.

Get taller

It has been repeatedly proven that people subconsciously gravitate towards tall leaders. Why is this happening? We unconsciously associate human height with power and might. Unfortunately, nature has not endowed all inhabitants of the planet with such an advantage. Well, don't despair, you can cheat a little and create a visual illusion. A person visually appears slimmer and taller when wearing dark-colored clothes. In addition, V-necks, vertical stripes and monochrome prints create a similar illusion. Classic suits, shirts, and straight-cut jeans will help men achieve the desired effect. You can also use V-neck T-shirts and replace sneakers with shoes. Women should give preference to laconic dresses with a simplified cut and tight-fitting trousers made of plain fabrics. The ideal shoes would be pumps.

Stay true to casual style

Many people believe that casual is a daring and careless trend in fashion, unique to young people. In reality, the situation is less categorical. Casual is a relaxed style based on a mixture of business format and everyday look. By giving preference to this direction, you can always easily choose an outfit for a specific situation. For example, you can wear jeans and a shirt to meet friends or have dinner with relatives. Once you put on a jacket, the look turns into business casual, suitable for negotiations or interviews. Remember that it is better to throw away T-shirts and stretched T-shirts, and it is advisable to forget about torn jeans and sneakers. Only a laconic and sophisticated look can provide a million-dollar look.

Stay confident

Always try to keep a casual look, even if there are slight flaws in the look. The main thing is to believe in your own superiority, and then those around you will also believe in it. Even if a button comes off on your jacket or a small stain appears on your trousers, don’t show it. When a person is fixated on shortcomings, people begin to notice unwanted little things. Be calm and confident, create the image of a truly successful person!
