The parents of the future actress were simple people who worked hard. Barbara's father worked as a mechanic, and her mother worked as a seamstress. Parents tried to raise their children in strictness, so the future actress was a timid and quiet girl with a lot of complexes.

Childhood and adolescence

The future movie star was born on May 29, 1941 in the small Polish village of Skotniki, located near Lodz. Her childhood was during difficult war times, when Poland was occupied by Nazi troops. The Brylsky family was not rich: his father worked as a mechanic, and his mother was a seamstress. They raised their child in strictness, so Barbara grew up to be a modest girl, and from childhood she was accustomed to independence.

Noticing their daughter’s creative inclinations, and she drew very well, the parents hoped that their daughter would become an artist, so they sent her to study at an art lyceum. Young Barbara took part in amateur performances with pleasure, where teachers noticed her acting talent and advised her to continue her studies at a theater university. A meeting with director Antoni Bochdzevich changed all of Barbara’s plans. He invited a 15-year-old girl to star in his film “Galoshes of Happiness.” After participating in the filming, Barbara dreamed only of an acting career and after graduating from high school she entered the famous Higher Theater School of Lodz. However, she did not study there for long - 17-year-old Barbara got married and spent several years selflessly doing housework. Since the husband was against the acting career of his chosen one, the early marriage quickly fell apart. Brylska began working as a television announcer and played several small roles in films. After these filmings, Barbara decided to continue her acting education, but this time she moved to the capital and became a student at the Higher School of Cinema, Theater and Television, which she successfully graduated in 1967.

Education

In her childhood, Barbara Brylska (whose photo is in this article) showed a penchant for drawing. My parents immediately noticed this and tried to do everything to develop these abilities. So, the girl was sent to study at an art lyceum. At one of the reporting concerts, the director of this educational institution noticed her and suggested that a director he knew take a closer look at the talented girl. Barbara has a younger sister, Jadwiga, who was born shortly after the end of World War II. The family lived quite modestly, and the mother was mainly involved in raising the daughters, because the father disappeared from morning to night at work, trying to provide his wife and heirs with everything they needed.

Parents raised their daughters in strictness, so Barbara grew up as a quiet, modest girl, in her youth she had a lot of complexes, and was quite insecure. However, she was always drawn to creativity, in particular, she drew well, so mom and dad did everything possible and in their power to ensure that their daughter got into the art lyceum.

In addition to drawing, the girl was also actively involved in amateur artistic activities. One day, the director of the educational institution that Barbara attended saw the girl perform at a concert, and was so delighted and surprised by her performance that he soon advised his friend the film director to take a closer look at the talented student. So, at the age of fifteen, the girl got her first small role in a movie.

The work on the set made a huge impression on the teenager, so she began to work hard in a theater group, mastering the intricacies of the acting profession. After receiving secondary education, the aspiring actress became a student at the Warsaw Higher School of Theatre, Cinema and Television. Since the mid-60s, Barbara began to actively act in films, playing a wide variety of roles, but she entered the theater stage only many years later, at a fairly mature age.

Barbara Brylska and Jan Borovets: a love story

As for her personal life, the actress herself always admitted that she chose only the most handsome men as her husbands. Her first great love and first husband was a mathematician named Jan Borovets. At the time of their first meeting, Barbara was only seventeen years old. She was then going on an excursion with a group when she suddenly noticed that an attractive stranger was staring at her on the train. The young people exchanged only a few words, and later Ian managed to find the young girl he liked, knowing only one name.

The man was six years older than Barbara, however, for both of them this was the first serious relationship. Soon they got married, but they failed to build a strong family. According to the actress’s recollections, at first she and Janek (as she affectionately called him) resembled lovebirds, but they were too young and inexperienced, so they themselves ruined their happiness.

Borovets had little interest in art, in particular, the work of his wife. He disapproved of the fact that his young wife entered the theater institute, so after six months the girl was forced to leave her studies at the insistence of her husband. For some time after the wedding, Brylska was an ordinary housewife, but the girl quickly became bored with such a life. She understood that she was making a big mistake by abandoning her studies and her successful acting career, so she began attending lectures as a free listener, doing this in secret from her husband.

Soon, Barbara’s career rapidly took off, and after the release of the dramatic film “Pharaoh,” where she played the Phoenician priestess Kama, the concubine of Pharaoh Ramses, the girl became a real star. However, her husband still did not show any interest in her work. Ian never went to his wife’s premieres, and did not even allow her to use his last name in the credits. When the actress gained incredible popularity not only in her native Poland, but also abroad, her marriage with Borovets finally collapsed.

The actress’s wife then began to be called “Pan Brylsky,” which irritated him incredibly; he began to seek peace and happiness in the arms of other women, and Barbara began an affair with her colleague. The couple never had any common heirs over the years of their marriage, so they eventually separated with virtually no regrets.

Barbara Brylska and Jerzy Zelnik: a fleeting marriage

The actress met her future second husband on the set of the dramatic historical film “Pharaoh,” which made her famous throughout the world. Barbara, who, as we have already noted, liked only handsome men, literally lost her head over this courageous young brunette. A whirlwind romance broke out between the actors, and their relationship developed so rapidly that almost immediately after the divorce from her first husband, Brylska again hurried to tie the knot.

However, such a hasty second marriage turned out to be a very reckless step. Later, the actress in her interviews said that handsome and popular men, for the most part, are not constancy in their relationships with women. This is exactly what happened in their marriage with Zelnik, who was spoiled by the attention of colleagues and fans, regularly had affairs and affairs on the side, and did not see anything reprehensible in his infidelities. The initiator of the breakup was Barbara, tired of her chosen one’s constant sprees.

Barbara Brylska and Slobodan Dimitrievich: the actress’s greatest love

In the late 60s, on the set of the dramatic western “White Wolves,” Barbara met the handsome Yugoslav actor Slobodan Dmitrievich. Strong mutual feelings flared up between them almost immediately, however, the actors’ stormy romance lasted only about one year.

According to the actress, she literally went crazy about Dmitrievich, and was ready to give up everything for him: her favorite job and her native country; then it seemed to her that without this man she could neither live nor breathe. Brylska subsequently repeatedly called Slobodan her greatest love, best lover, as well as a kind and open person. The actors lived happily in a civil marriage for almost a year, and were even planning to officially legitimize their relationship, however, in the end, things never came to a wedding.

Slobodan also put forward strict demands to his chosen one: end her acting career and devote herself entirely to her family and creating home comfort. And for the sake of this man, Barabara agreed to such sacrifices. However, when the actor brought his beloved to his native Yugoslavia to introduce her to his family, unforeseen serious problems arose.

Dmitrievich's relatives were categorically against his marrying a Polish actress. His mother saw next to her son a girl from an intelligent and wealthy family, with a good education, and therefore the failed mother-in-law made every effort to separate Slobodan from Barbara. For the actress, this was a real shock, and after breaking up with her lover, she could not come to her senses and accept their breakup for a very long time.

Barbara Brylska and Ludwig Kosmal: third marriage and long-awaited motherhood

In the late 60s, the popular actress met a man named Ludwig Kosmal, who had nothing to do with cinema and worked as a gynecologist. According to the film star, at the first meeting the handsome man impressed her as an intelligent, smart and interesting person, so this acquaintance immediately seemed very promising to her. Barbara was absolutely free at that time, and when Ludwig once embarrassedly admitted to her that he had long been a fan of her work and had always dreamed of meeting her, the actress’s heart suddenly began to beat faster.

In October 1970, Brylska decided to tie the knot for the third time, confident that this time everything would certainly work out. It is worth noting that she had long dreamed of heirs, but somehow it didn’t work out in previous relationships. Barbara experienced several unsuccessful pregnancies, and her long-awaited first-born daughter Basya (short for Barbara) was born only in 1973, when the actress herself was almost 32 years old.

The actress gave birth to her second child, a son named Ludwig after his father, after forty years, in 1982. However, by that time her marriage with her third husband was literally bursting at the seams, and even the appearance of her long-awaited son did not help save him. As it turned out, the incredibly jealous Kosmal himself had a lot of mistresses, although he never admitted to cheating. In addition, the man heavily abused strong drinks, but he himself did not see any problem in this. The couple lived together for eighteen years, and divorced less than two years after the birth of their son.

According to some reports, the film star had a whirlwind romance with married Bulgarian actor Stefan Danailov, to whom she planned to leave her husband. But Stefan, as it turned out, had no intention of divorcing his wife, and having learned that a scandal could break out because of his relationship with Barbara, he quickly withdrew, because he had no need for problems in his own family.

The actress subsequently called her third marriage a mistake, saying that her husband simply took advantage of her, her love and her money. And, at the same time, Brylska was immensely grateful to him for the long-awaited happiness of motherhood. But, unfortunately, the eldest daughter Basya, who successfully built a modeling and acting career, tragically died at the age of twenty, having crashed in a car.

Barbara Brylska now

After the third divorce and the death of her daughter, Barbara gave up trying to arrange her personal life. She focused on her career and raising her son. Despite her advanced age, she still had many fans and admirers among men, but the actress chose solitude. In her native Poland, she began to be filmed less and less, but more and more offers came from Russia and Ukraine, where she not only plays in films, but also takes part in the filming of various television shows and talent shows. The Actress’s son has already made her happy with two grandchildren, who were named Shimon and Yakub.

This spring, rumors appeared that Brylska had been battling cancer for a long time. However, the actress herself prefers not to talk publicly about her health problems. Later, in a short comment to reporters, Barbara confirmed this information, but did not go into any details, asking only fans to wish her health.

According to the plot of this film, Sadness and Joy own galoshes, which have magical and magical powers. After that there were films such as the drama “Yokmok”, the comedy film “Their Weekday” and the melodrama “Boomerang”, which was released in 1966, and in which Barbara played the largest role at the beginning of her career.

From 1966 to 1968, the famous actress Barbara Brylska, whose life was eventful, played Inga in the Polish TV series “Bet Bigger Than Life.” It is known that this serial film was incredibly popular after its release, and the artists who starred in it received success and fame. This series was even shown in many European countries.

Soon Barbara Brylska, whose photos in her youth present us with a very beautiful woman, accepts offers from foreign directors. The first such film in 1968 was the German-Soviet film “Trace of the Falcon” directed by Gottfried Colditz. Two gold miners violate a peace treaty and search for gold in the lands of the Dakota tribe. Soon the war with the white invaders begins. In this film, the talented actress plays Katherine Emerson.

After this, the famous actress Barbara Brylska starred in the Yugoslav film “White Wolves”, which is a continuation of the previous film. In this film, the talented actress also plays Katherine Emerson. After this, in 1968, she starred in the Bulgarian film “Dying is a Last Resort,” where she plays Linda.

In 1968, the famous actress changed her appearance and in the film “Pan Volodyevsky” directed by Jerzy Hoffman, she appeared before the viewer in the image of a brunette Kristina Drochonovskaya. The film tells the story of a Polish commander who managed to successfully stop enemy raids. In 1969, Barbara Brylska, whose biography is bright and tragic, starred in the Soviet film “Liberation,” which tells about the Second World War.

This was followed by filming in the German film “The Mystery of the Wooden Idols,” which tells about an incredibly complicated crime that detective Laube is trying to solve and investigate. But unexpectedly, the detective himself comes under suspicion, and then his assistant, Bentheim, takes over the investigation of this case. The talented actress also receives many job offers from Polish directors. Thus, Barbara Brylska starred in many Polish films: “The Criminal Who Stole the Crime”, “Anatomy of Love”, “The Red Hotel” and others.

Studying at a theater school

Brylskaya's debut as an actress took place when the girl was 15 years old. One day, a film crew came to her lyceum, searching for a suitable heroine for a small role. Barbara fit the bill perfectly and, thus, while in 8th grade, starred in the film “Galoshes of Happiness.”

For a young girl, a cameo role was a gift of fate. During the three-day filming, she was in seventh heaven and did not see herself in any other profession. It seemed to her that after this role she would immediately be approved for subsequent filming and invited to appear in other films. However, the girl was paid the money and was no longer remembered.

Broken dreams dealt a blow to the self-esteem of the future star. She decided that she should pay more attention to art. And yet, Brylska entered the Lodz Higher Theater School. There the girl was able to put aside her childhood complexes and say goodbye to uncertainty.

During her studies, Barbara played her first major role in the film “Their Weekday.” Three years later, in 1966, she had already gained popularity in wide circles due to her role as a priestess in the film “Pharaoh.” Later, the artist starred in the film “Anatomy of Love” by a Polish director.

The role in the film “Pharaoh” is Barbara’s first most striking role.

In 1967, she received a diploma from the Higher School of Theater, Film and Television.

Filming in the film "Pharaoh"

In 1966, the famous and talented actress Brylska starred in the historical film “Pharaoh” by Polish director Jerzy Kawalerowicz. This film tells how the fearless warrior and ardent young man Ramesses the Thirteenth, who was a pharaoh, lived and ruled. His power is no longer as strong as before, since the treasury is empty. He is in love with two women at once, but this love does not bring him happiness. He also has a son, whom Sarah, a Jew, gives birth to. But he has no right to inherit his father's throne.

The second woman, Kama, is a priestess who has no right to carnal love. She is played by actress Brylska. But the pharaoh hates the high priests, who have now taken possession of all the wealth.

Her last love (Barbara Brylska)

Although she has more than fifty film roles in truly stellar and great films, in our country she is remembered as the gentle and taciturn literature teacher Nadya from Ryazanov’s comedy “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath.” What gave her character special credibility was the genuine feeling of shocked amazement that did not leave the Polish actress’s face in all scenes of the three-hour film. The neat, responsible and pedantic Polish woman, who spent nights cramming text, facial expressions and gestures, was simply shocked by the constant improvisations of her Russian partners - Myagkov and Yakovlev. They didn’t stick to the script at all, made ad-libs and constantly confused her with their unexpected passages...

In her native Poland, Barbara Brylska is called simply and without pretense - B.B., like Brigitte Bardot in France. But unlike her French namesake, the acting career of Polish B.B. developed more smoothly. She did not expect deafening world success after her first film roles, and the incoming fame was extinguished by rather long departures from cinema. But to this day she is a famous and sought-after actress, still a very beautiful and passionate woman and a good mother. However, her personal life has undergone so many dramas that it could have been enough for all her movie heroines, and any episode would have resulted in a stunning tragedy... But, as they say, God forbid us from such shocks.

Barbara showed the makings of future beauty, unlike many movie stars, even in childhood. The long-legged, graceful girl with thick hair began to drive men crazy even at school age. This is how a handsome young man from Warsaw, Jan Borowiec, saw her on a school excursion. He was persistent and did everything to find a charming stranger in the strange city of Lodz. His intentions were the most mundane, but when he met her and realized that this was an innocent child, he began a completely official courtship that ended in a wedding.

The bride made a significant sacrifice at the wedding altar. By that time, she was already in her first year at the theater institute. She really wanted to be an actress, she liked her studies, and her mentors predicted success for her. But the husband’s conservative relatives did not approve of the “frivolous” professional choice of the future daughter-in-law. And the groom wanted to lock his beautiful wife into the cozy role of a housewife. An ultimatum was given, and the madly in love bride left the theater institute.

Barbara tried diligently for two months to be an exemplary wife, but soon she simply got tired of it. After all, she was not yet twenty, and outside the window beautiful Warsaw was blooming, singing and laughing, men turned around after the lovely housewife, and Jan was again immersed in work and could not entertain her endlessly. And so Basya again came to the abandoned institute. As an exception, she was allowed to attend classes as a volunteer, and very soon she was offered the first roles.

At first, the young husband even indulged Basya’s “whims,” but soon her increasing fame became unpleasant to him. At first, he himself insisted that her maiden name Brylska appear in the film credits, but then the ironic title of “Mr. Brylska” brought him a lot of suffering. So gradually they began to move away from each other. Barbara led an increasingly busy social life and often went abroad. Jan patiently endured loneliness and detachment, paid for her expensive outfits for the Cannes Film Festival from his modest salary, watched frank love scenes in films with understanding, and forced her to learn French. However, their crazy and beautiful love gradually began to fade away, and apart from it they had nothing in common.

Basya, who retained respect and affection for her husband, was nevertheless too young and ardent. From her youth, she fell in love with beautiful movie characters, and then, having entered their world, she became interested in real men. Her first betrayal of her husband was her partner in the acclaimed film “Pharaoh” Jerzy Zelnik. The husband also knew about their two-year relationship, but the marriage survived. It was destroyed a few years later by Barbara’s acquaintance on the set of the film “White Wolves” with actor Slobodan Dmitrievich.

The ardent love of the handsome southerner also infected Barbara. He promised her unearthly happiness. She believed, divorced her husband and flew to the provincial family nest of the wealthy Yugoslav Slobodan family. Alas, it turned out that he and his family’s concepts of unearthly happiness are also very archaic. Working as an actress was completely unacceptable for Slobodan’s chosen one, as was any social life in general. She, however, agreed to everything. However, this was not enough.

The groom's relatives were generally unhappy with the prospect of the heir marrying a divorced actress. They tormented her with the subtlest humiliations, while at the same time whispering to Slobodan about all the delights of marrying a young, innocent Italian (which was an unbreakable tradition in their family). The groom hesitated, the desired wedding was postponed, and the terms of the marriage contract became more and more harsh and humiliating for the bride. Barbara soon realized that she was never destined to become Mrs. Dmitrievich. Heartbroken, she returned to Warsaw and threw herself into work.

Main role in the film “Anatomy of Love”

In 1972, the film “Anatomy of Love” directed by Roman Zalusky was released on Soviet cinema screens. But this film was shown in a slight reduction. The main character Eva, successfully played by Brylska, recently buried her husband. She lived with her unloved husband for seven years. She married him because her mother insisted on it.

One day at an exhibition, the widow Eve meets Adam, who stays with her overnight, and after that he doesn’t even remember her or call her. But the girl is trying to achieve his love and in the final scene Eve forgets about Adam, and he is waiting for her call.

The film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”

But still, the talented actress was remembered and loved by Soviet viewers after the film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” was released in 1975. directed by Eldar Ryazanov. According to the plot of the film, the main character goes to the bathhouse, where, according to tradition, he always meets with his friends. But, having drunk more than necessary, he falls asleep, and his friends, confusing the hero with Pavlik, send him to Leningrad.

It turns out that in this city there is not only Third Street of Builders, building 25, apartment 12 on the second floor, but also the layout of the house and the rooms in the apartment are the same. It is in this apartment in a foreign city that the main character meets Nadya Sheveleva, a teacher. She is not married, but she was not going to celebrate this New Year alone. A strong feeling flares up between Zhenya and Nadya, and they completely forget about those who were waiting for them that night.

Barbara Brylska in cinema

Barbara's career developed during her studies. In 1965, the aspiring actress appeared in the film “Then Silence Comes,” after which directors began inviting the girl into their projects. Moreover, Brylska collaborated not only with Polish film directors, but also with Soviet, Bulgarian, and Czechoslovakian ones.

Great success awaited the actress in 1972, after her appearance in the Polish film Anatomy of Love. The feature film was filled with explicit scenes, and since Barbara played the leading role in it, the attention of others to her person increased noticeably. Despite the scandalous nature of the film, it was he who brought Brylskaya her first widespread popularity. Then the actress did not yet know that she would perform her most striking role only 3 years later...

On the first day of 1976, the premiere screening of the Soviet film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” took place, in which Barbara Brylska played one of the leading roles.

The film became not just a box office leader, but was recognized as one of the best works of Soviet cinema. In 1977, the film was awarded the State Prize of the Soviet Union, and in three years this film was viewed by more than 250 million people. Even today, the two-part film “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!” is a mandatory attribute of the New Year holidays.

In the second half of the 70s, the actress managed to star in several more films, after which the pace of her activity began to decline. Barbara's career received a second wind at the beginning of the new millennium, when the star not only returned to the screens, but also entered the theater stage.

In the 21st century, the artist added 7 films to her filmography, including “Casus Belly”, “Strange Christmas” and “The Irony of Fate. Continuation". In 2014, the Russian film “The Secret of the Four Princesses” was released, in which Barbara played a cameo role. At the moment, filming in this film is Brylska’s last work on the screen. During her creative career, the actress managed to play in 29 projects and, perhaps, this is not the final number yet.

Film "The Secret of the Four Princesses"

In 2014, the last film was released in Russia, starring Barbara Brylska, whose personal life is always available to the public. In this musical fairy tale, the famous actress played a fairy.

In the film “The Secret of the Four Princesses” we are talking about the poor tailor Hans, who is tasked by the king to find out the secret of his daughters. His daughters disappear from the bedroom somewhere every night, and he really wants to reveal this secret.

Career after study

During all this time, Brylska managed to appear in films by directors from Poland, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia and the USSR. In 1977, Barbara was awarded the title of the most popular actress in the socialist countries.

Note: Barbara gained the greatest popularity in the USSR for her role as Nadya in the cult film “The Irony of Fate.”

During screen tests, Ryazanov could not find the ideal candidate as one of the main characters in his film. Many girls were considered, but none of them were suitable. Later, Ryazanov remembered the Polish actress and called her with an invitation to filming, which she accepted.

Now it’s hard to imagine anyone else in the place of Barbara Brylski in the role of Nadya

Eldar Ryazanov saw a promising actress who was perfect for the role in his comedy, in the film “Anatomy of Love”. Thanks to this picture, the girl received the State Prize of the country as a reward. After this, the artist starred mainly in Polish films, but they did not bring her much success.

In the early 2000s, the actress returned to television in the former USSR countries. First, she starred in the Russian film “Down House”, then she was a member of the jury in the Ukrainian show “People’s Star” and in the “Two Stars” program on Channel One.

Note: In 2014, the artist was banned from entering the Russian Federation. The reason was her public support for Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. However, this did not stop her from crossing the border and starring in the film “The Secret of the Black Princesses.”

Personal life

The famous and talented actress Brylska was married three times. But each time her marriage ended in divorce. Barbara's first husband is a mathematician from Poland. She met Jan Borovets on a train when Barbara was only seventeen years old. After the wedding, Ian asked Barbara to quit classes at the theater studio, the girl obeyed her husband. But she could not live long without the theater and very soon, secretly from her husband, she returned to this studio.

Having learned about this, Yang, agreeing with the filming of his wife, demanded that she be listed under her maiden name in the credits. But since Barbara soon became famous, they began to call Jan Brylska, and he really did not like this.

In 1966, on the set of the film “Pharaoh,” the talented actress began an affair with the actor who played the main role. The actress quickly divorced her first husband and married Jerzy Zelnik. But the new husband turned out to be very flighty and soon he found himself another woman.

In 1969, on the set of the film “White Wolves,” actress Brylska fell in love again. And again the actor became her chosen one. The actress hoped that her life would improve with Slobodan Dmitrievich and they would live together for a long time. As the actress herself would later recall, she had the strongest feelings for this man. But this love was doomed, since the actor’s aristocratic family was against such a marriage, and the actor did not dare to disobey.

Such an unexpected breakup led to the fact that the famous and talented actress fell into depression. The doctor, gynecologist Ludwig Kosmal, helped her get out of this psychological state, who later not only became her third husband, but in this marriage Barbara gave birth to two children. In 1973, daughter Barbara was born, and nine years later son Ludwig. Although the marriage lasted eighteen years, it was not happy. Constant betrayals and domestic conflicts completely destroyed this family. Over the past ten years, Ludwig has constantly insisted on a divorce, but Barbara could not decide on it.

Immediately after the divorce, the actress Brylska began to constantly change her romantic relationships, since she perfectly understood that they were all frivolous and would not lead to anything in the end.

For a whole year, the lovers lived in a civil marriage, and when Dimitrievich proposed to Barbara and brought her home to Yugoslavia, his mother, who belonged to a noble family, forbade him to marry a woman from a poor family, and even a divorcee.

Slobodan listened to his mother and broke up with his beloved. This plunged the actress into despair. But soon another man appeared in Barbara Brylski’s personal life, who, according to her admission, had long been in love with the actress in absentia and dreamed of meeting her in person.

Barbara Brylska with her daughter

This was the gynecologist Ludwig Kosmal, whom she soon married.

“Meeting an intelligent, smart doctor seemed promising to me... We got married in October 1970,” says Brylska.

It was a marriage in which Barbara Brylski’s children finally appeared - the first was born daughter Barbara, whom the actress gave birth to at thirty-two.

When the baby was one and a half years old, Barbara was invited to film a film in the USSR, which made her one of the most popular actresses in our country.

The popularity of the actress and her many fans haunted Barbara Brylski's husband, who was not only terribly jealous, but also tried to take revenge on his wife in his own way - Ludwig had affairs left and right.

The family was on the verge of collapse, and even the birth of their second child, Ludwig’s son, did not save the couple from divorce, which took place when the boy, named after his father, was one and a half years old.

The actress remembers this marriage with pain.

“He was unworthy of me. He used all my strength, all my love, not to mention money. He loved our children madly, but continued to drink, disappeared somewhere for months...,” says the actress.

And only Barbara Brylski’s children became her reward for all her suffering.

Actress's childhood

The amazing, sophisticated Nadenka, who looked from the screens with a genuine sense of shocked amazement, fell in love with the viewer from the first frames. And of course, the actress who talentedly played her, Barbara Brylska, aroused particular curiosity. The biography of the woman is still interesting to the viewer today.

On May 29, 1941, in the Polish village of Skotniki, located near Lodz, the future celebrity was born. It was a difficult time. There was not enough money for almost anything.

Barbara showed her talents from childhood. Her parents, noticing her artistic talent, sent the girl to the lyceum. And who knows what the biography of such a talented woman as Barbara Brylska would have been like if her acting abilities had not been noticed. It was the director of the art lyceum who saw unprecedented potential in her and recommended that the young talent enroll in a theater university.

Barbara Brylska did just that. The girl began her acting career immediately after graduating from the lyceum. She first appears on screen in Bogdzevich’s film “Galoshes of Happiness.”
