Natalya was born in 1964 in Moscow. She inherited the surname Klyarenok from her parents. The girl became Gulkina after her first marriage. She used it for further recording of songs and performances.
Natasha began to engage in creativity from an early age. Her father taught her to play the guitar and sing. To realize her potential, the girl took part in school productions and concerts. As she grew older, she began to win various vocal competitions and festivals.

After school, the girl came to the Moscow Jazz Studio. Here professional teachers taught her. She learned to use her voice competently, and also mastered the basics of acting.
In one of the music centers, Gulkina met Svetlana Razina. Her acquaintance, composer Andrei Lityagin, was looking for a new soloist for the Mirage group. After a short audition, he immediately offered cooperation to the aspiring singer.
As part of “Mirage”, Natalya Gulkina performed several vocal parts at once. Among them are the songs “Sunny Summer”, “I Don’t Want”, “Magic World” and others. In March 1987, the group debuted with the album “The Stars Are Waiting for Us.”
In 1988, preparations for the second album began. However, while the current soloist was touring the country, ex-participant Margarita Sukhankina was invited to the studio. Natasha had to learn the recorded songs and perform them to the soundtrack. The singer refused and left Mirage.
Natalya Gulkina's departure from the group pushed her to a new stage in her career. After the release of the original song “The Sun is Burning” into rotation, the girl again found herself at the peak of popularity. Then she wrote a second song, “I Believe and Love,” which also became a hit.
The singer’s subsequent works were presented on behalf of the “Stars” group. The name was invented in the dressing room before one of the concerts. In 1989, a new album by the newly formed group called “Disco” was released. He helped Gulkina become one of the top three artists of the Soviet Union. – Natalia, you recently celebrated your 50th anniversary. How did you feel about approaching this date?
– Fifty is a terrible number (laughs). When I was 20 years old, it seemed that youth would last forever. My inner state now speaks of a completely different age.
I feel like I’m 38 years old. And I still occasionally do girlish things. Mom scolds me. But I probably remained a girl who fears and respects her parents. If my mother doesn’t like something and she tells me about it, I get nervous.
Mom was very worried about my conflict at Mirage. More than once she turned out to be a pillow for me into which I cried. Of course, I tried to protect her from all this, but sometimes I just wasn’t strong enough. Now the stumbling blocks are our saffron milk caps, Pomeranians Nika and Fenya. She gets tired of them. It turned out that they bought the dogs for themselves, and now their mother takes care of them. She sometimes says: “I’m so tired of them! Take them for yourself." But as soon as she takes them away, she already misses them.
– Does your mother give you advice about men too?
“She watches my life and expects me to have some kind of oligarch.” I say: “Mom, that’s it, calm down. It is unlikely".

– I have a beloved man, we live in a civil marriage. He is not an oligarch, but a sane person who understands me perfectly. We have been together for quite a long time: we have already developed such a family relationship that you don’t even think that you need to run to the registry office and arrange a wedding.
Everything that is happening now suits us absolutely. “I can’t bear to get married” – this is absolutely not about me. I have already been married several times: there is nothing interesting there. (Smiles). And, as experience shows, after going to the registry office we run away. So now I have a point: I don’t want to go there.
– But have you already understood for yourself why you couldn’t find the one and only one for the rest of your life?
- It is very difficult. Not everything depends on me. From a partner too. I was wrong somewhere. Take my first marriage. It seemed that this was love once and for life. But, apparently, not love, but simply falling in love.
Years pass, your eyes open, and you realize that this is not the same person. In my second marriage, to put it mildly, I was confused. We didn’t know Kostya yet, but he was already telling everyone that we were dating. That is, he came up with this story for himself, and then brought it to life. But his character was not simple: he loved to take walks, he loved beautiful women.
After we separated, he had a short relationship with the same Ira Saltykova and with Natasha Vetlitskaya - in general, he was after all the “Mirage people”. I forgave him a lot, including betrayal.
I approach this differently: if I understand that a person loves me, I can pretend that I don’t notice something. But then it was our third marriage, we lived for about eight years. And when he had another woman, I immediately noticed it. You can't fool a woman's heart. He didn't tell me for a long time. Maybe he didn't take this relationship seriously.
Natalia has been collecting original shoes for many years.
– Have you ever cheated on your husbands?
– Never in marriage. And in general there is such gossip that I am a flighty woman. Former colleagues once said that I slept with all the dancers. But this is nonsense! Nothing like this!
There have been four marriages in my life. God willing, if I count eight or nine serious relationships in my entire life. I have never had casual intimacy: I take it very seriously.
Yes, I had a serious relationship with one of the dancers. And we met for a long time. Although I understood that he was very young, a little older than my son. But he himself experienced this story so much that when I tried to stop everything, it was both “I can’t live without you” and “I’m going to jump from the balcony.”
- Did he scare you like that?
- Maybe. But he really was in love. You know, next to these guys who go to the gym, I don’t feel like I’m an adult aunt. I am always very active in life. I have a million ideas. They themselves consider me the same age!
– What is the story that you were able to cure your husband of cancer?
“He was tormented by a very strong cough: it started to beat him so hard that he couldn’t stop. At that time, we studied together at the children's creativity center with children and every year we had to undergo a medical examination.
My husband came out after the fluorography all white. I ask: “What happened?” And then he answers: “You won’t believe it: lung cancer.” We immediately went to the doctors. After looking at the pictures, we were told: “We can’t say what it is. Take the pills and come back in two weeks. We’ll take more pictures and then decide.”
My husband drank them for one day. By that time, I knew a healer from whom I periodically treated my ailments. She also helped my sister when my mother-in-law wanted to separate her from her husband. We came to her this time too.
She approached him from behind and began moving her hands a short distance from his back. Then - once - as if he were tearing something off and throwing it away. He also felt that he was being pulled. After that, she gave him a drink infused with herbs. Rare disgusting.
After which the healer said not to take any medicine: “Either get treatment from me or from doctors. I’ll clean it up in ten sessions.” On the eighth day she said that we don’t have to come anymore. We went to the doctors: everything was clear!

– A few years ago, a scandal erupted around you in connection with your departure from Mirage. I take it you still haven't reconciled?
– I didn’t conflict with them. They probably think that black PR is more effective. We like to wash bones. When it's smooth and sweet, no one cares. But they still put a spoke in my wheels.
Despite the fact that I haven’t worked in a group for three years, they send people with equipment to my performances to find out what Gulkina sings. They consider me a direct competitor.
The organizers call, and I immediately warn: “I don’t sing Mirage songs.” But I sing “Disco Stars”, “China” and many others that my fans love.
– What are you dreaming about now?
– I want the children to do well. So that they find themselves in this life. The eldest will enter the Cinematography Institute this year. He is like me, he also thinks that civil marriage is an interesting story.
Until he runs to the registry office, although he has a girl. My daughter will be fifteen years old. She is a beauty and a homebody. I can't force her to go out for a walk. All her friends are on the Internet. He sits on Skype for days: he watches movies together and laughs throughout the room.

So I don’t use these tips: lazy! I have a lot of cosmetics. I attend social events, and they give away so many things that I could open a cosmetics store.

– Natalia, fans often give gifts to artists. Which ones do you remember?
“I can’t say that I was spoiled with expensive gifts.” They gave an engagement ring and a diamond pendant. One man who fought in a hot spot came up and said: “I want you to have a ring from me, because I could die at any moment.”
At first I didn’t want to take it, but he persuaded me. I sometimes put it on and remember this person. As for luxurious and too expensive gifts, they passed me by.
I worked all my life and achieved everything myself. Sometimes I look at other artists: one was given a Mercedes, another a mountain of diamonds - and I think: “Something strange: where do they find these oligarchs?” (Laughs.)
– Apparently, you are never in a bad mood?
- Happens. I react to events that happen around me. My dogs charge me with positivity. I grab them in my arms and go for a walk. You squeeze them and your mood immediately improves. Of course, talking to people also helps.
After “Live Sound” I made new friends. I communicate well with Yulia Lebedeva - she is a popular star who has incredible vocal abilities. He sings like that - his head just falls off. Together we recently went to see a performance by Stas Sadalsky. We are also charged with positivity - now it will last for a long time!
The singer’s dream is for children to find themselves in life. Daughter Yana is studying at school, and son Alexey is going to enroll in directing.
