Action of hormones
The effect of hormonal drugs on the body depends on what processes they regulate. For example, the use of somatotropin in childhood can help cure dwarfism, insulin injections reduce blood sugar levels in diabetics, and progesterone or estrogen regulate everything related to the female reproductive system.
The action will be either regulatory or active. In the first case, the administered drug “gives a command” for the synthesis of other substances and corrects the functioning of organs. The second type of action provides that the hormone, after administration, personally changes some process or indicator.
Similar medications are available in the form of ointment, tablet, solution, injection, lotion, cream, patch and other variations. Each of them has a different effect on the body, because it depends on how much of the drug enters the bloodstream. The most powerful are hormonal oral (tablets and solutions) and injectable drugs. Among external use products, ointments are the leaders, while lotions, creams and patches are very poorly absorbed into the blood.
Why is it dangerous for a woman to go against her destiny?
Published: October 19, 2020 4934
In the modern world, many women strive to make a career and earn a lot of money. But not everyone’s work turns out to be truly interesting. Very often, making money turns into a heavy duty, draining all your energy and positive emotions. This happens because a woman goes against her destiny. And in this case, we are not talking about the amount of time allocated to household chores, or about the balance between work and family.
What is the difference between work and purpose?
As you might guess, RABOta comes from the word SLAVE. A working person is not free, not his own, forced to act at the direction of another person. He always has to do something: arrive on time, complete, hand in, accept, write, compose, report, etc. Social networks are full of ironic posts about work, how everyone is waiting for the end of the working day, how pleasant Fridays are and hated Mondays... The common phrase “rest - don’t work” means the same thing.
Have you ever heard: “Hurry up it’s Monday!” or “How I miss work!” Such statements are very rare. We don’t have the strength, desire, or desire to go to work we don’t like, and we don’t have enough energy to do what we like. All this is quite natural: in an unfree person, energy simply cannot flow freely. Well, if the income also feels less than the energy costs, then we are generally talking about a constant “return”, about the “draining” of energy potential. Hence chronic fatigue, even if you spend the whole day in a cozy chair in a comfortable office, and lack of inspiration and joy, and reluctance to sexual intimacy, and problems in personal relationships, and much more.
Our external is a reflection of our internal. What can a woman share with her family, her loved one at the end of the working day, except for a tired look and drooping shoulders?
Now let's see what the word Destination consists of. How many other similar words are there: PREVIEW, PREVIEW, PRE-FEELING, PRECAUTION... PRE - that is, BEFORE something, doing something in advance. The word PURPOSE stands for your pre-known meaning on this Earth, your Mission.
You've probably noticed that doing what you love or doing what you do best fills you up energetically and emotionally. Even if your favorite pastime is baking pancakes. This is why it is very important to find your purpose. This is simply vital for a woman, because her strength lies in fullness, juiciness and generosity!
However, most women are forced to work. It is clear that everyone needs money, and happily baking pancakes in your kitchen, waiting for cash flow from the depths of the hood, will not work. What to do?
Find time every day to do what you love. Dedicate at least an hour a day to something especially pleasant for you.
Do what you like: draw, sew, dance, read, write poetry, play with children, meet friends, listen to or compose music, sing, play musical instruments, take walks, come up with startup ideas and give them to friends, write articles to your blog... This is the only way you can be filled with creative energy and replenish your reserves of vitality.
If it is difficult for you to determine what you would like to do, remember what you liked to do as a child - just like that, for yourself, not for teachers and parents. Forget negative attitudes like “drawing is a waste of time,” “dancing is not serious,” “you can’t make money playing the guitar.” Do what you really like, create and have fun!
A woman who lives in a creative flow, in pleasure, who makes a career like a woman even looks different. You will begin to smile more often, passers-by will pay more attention to you, your eyes will shine, your senses of taste and smell will become more acute. You will feel more energetic and younger!
Don't put off changes! Promise yourself today to do something pleasant and inspiring for yourself!

Features of hormonal drugs
Such a broad concept as “hormonal drugs” includes various medications.
- Contraceptives.
- Treatments (drugs that cure diseases, for example, somatotropin in childhood treats dwarfism caused by its deficiency).
- Regulating (various tablets for normalizing the menstrual cycle or hormonal levels).
- Supportive (insulin for diabetics).
They all have different effects on a woman’s body.
Contraceptives
Without contraceptives, it is difficult to avoid unwanted pregnancy, and constantly using condoms or other mechanical methods of protection can be inconvenient. Therefore, many drugs have been developed for the fairer sex, the use of which does not cause pregnancy.
Most often, the effect of contraceptives is that they prevent the egg from attaching to the walls of the uterus, so the development of the fetus becomes impossible. The use of contraceptives in the form of pills is popular today, but along with the positive qualities, there are also negative consequences for the woman’s body:
- menstrual irregularities (due to incorrect selection of the drug);
- swelling and weight gain (due to the body not taking medications);
- hair loss, brittle nails and dry skin (due to improper selection);
- lethargy, poor health, decreased libido.
But all these qualities in 90% of cases manifest themselves due to incorrect or independent selection of contraceptives. Only a gynecologist can select such serious medications, because for this it is necessary to analyze the woman’s hormonal data. Under no circumstances prescribe oral contraceptives on your own, because just because some contraceptives didn’t make one girl feel bad, this doesn’t mean that they will suit others.
But not everyone can use this method of protection. There are several contraindications for the use of hormonal contraceptives:
- presence of problems with the background;
- taking antibiotics;
- pregnancy;
- problems with the cardiovascular system;
- age less than 17 years;
- excess weight and allergic reactions.
During the period of such protection, chronic diseases may worsen. Discuss all the details with your doctor or gynecologist before you start taking contraceptives.
A bit of medieval hell
On Thursday, March 29, a resident of the Republic of Dagestan beat his bride to death with a stone on a highway under a camera. She had an unauthorized conversation with another man, and the groom carried out the execution. What is especially monstrous is that cars passing by were caught on camera. They calmly passed a woman lying on the road and a man beating her. Of course, they won’t talk about this on federal channels. Journalists are busy covering the tragedy in Kemerovo in a charitable manner. On the “Voice of Dagestan” Instagram, there is a desire to brutally deal with the killer. There are also those who blame the woman for what happened.
This logic is combined with the modern Russian moral and ethical concept. If a woman was hurt, it means she behaved incorrectly. In this situation, at any moment any woman can be blamed for anything. And no matter how wild the incidents in Dagestan may seem to us, recent events have shown that we are all a little in Dagestan. It's still dangerous to be a woman here.
Do you tell others about how you should look and behave?
Treating
This group treats the body from diseases and disorders. Such hormonal preparations can be in the form of tablets or external use. The former are used to treat serious diseases caused by hormonal imbalances. The latter affect more locally, at the places of use.
Often, girls synthesize few hormones responsible for the synthesis of new cells, so cracks or bleeding wounds appear on the skin, especially in winter, and do not heal. To treat them, a dermatologist may prescribe a cream, ointment, or lotion with certain hormones.
Often, ointments contain corticosteroids, which, when applied to the skin, are absorbed into the blood within a few hours and begin to act.
How does this group affect the body? This issue should be taken seriously, because the medications that are used most require attention when prescribing, determining the dosage and duration of the course, because the wrong step will cause complications of existing disorders.
Regulatory
Due to the crazy pace of life, daily poor nutrition, bad habits, sedentary lifestyle and new-fangled diets, women often suffer from menstrual irregularities. This negatively affects the development of the reproductive system, the general condition of the body, increases the risk of developing breast cancer, and can also cause infertility. But there is a solution to this problem, because most often the cycle goes wrong due to changes in hormonal levels.
Therefore, a detailed blood test is taken for these substances. Such procedures are not cheap, because working with hormones is very difficult, but remember: treating the consequences of disorders will cost much more, so take care of your body in a timely manner.
After identifying specific hormones that are deficient or in excess, a course of medications is prescribed to regulate their levels. These could be pills or injections. Often, gynecologists prescribe oral contraceptives to normalize the menstrual cycle. Don't be afraid, they are not trying to deceive or make things worse. Depending on the test results, some hormonal remedies actually improve menstruation without causing negative consequences.
The influence of regulatory agents depends on the correctness of their selection and dosage, because the body requires active substances in the smallest doses, so it is very easy to cross the line of the norm. For example, if you overdo it with progesterone injections when there is a lack of it, you may experience swelling, nausea, hair loss and pain in the mammary glands.
Fertility stages
In women, fertility changes throughout the reproductive period - it can be divided into 4 stages:
- The early stage is from the first menstruation until the age of 20. It is characterized by intense hormonal changes, especially at the very beginning. The body adapts to new conditions. The first year the cycle is just establishing itself, so irregular bleeding and lack of ovulation are possible. During this period, a girl can quickly become pregnant;
- The middle stage begins at age 20 and lasts until a woman is 40 years of age. During this period, the cycle is established, menstruation is regular, hormonal levels are balanced, and there are few anovulatory cycles. A woman easily becomes pregnant and bears a child;
- Late stage - 40 - 45 years. During this period, menstruation is regular, but hormonal changes are already beginning. Age-related changes affect not only appearance, but also internal organs and pelvic organs. The body begins to prepare for menopause. Pregnancy may well occur naturally if the general condition of the body is good, but subsequently medical care may be needed so that the woman can carry and give birth;
- The final stage (fading) - 45 - 60 years. Accompanied by cycle disruptions, most of which are anovulatory. Characterized by hormonal changes with a gradual decline in reproductive function. Pregnancy is possible, but there is a risk of miscarriage, since hormone deficiency negatively affects the ability to bear a child.
Fertility window - what is it?
The “fertility window” is the most favorable time for conception within one menstrual cycle: 2 - 3 days before ovulation, ovulation, 3 days after it. In total 6 days. By calculating or determining the day of ovulation, you can increase your chance of getting pregnant. The calendar method, basal temperature measurement, ultrasound monitoring, and special ovulation tests will help with this:
- Calendar. The point is to record the beginning and end of menstruation and the duration of the cycle for a long time. This method will help you calculate the middle of your cycle and determine the days of high fertility. Observation is required for at least 6 months to obtain reliable results;
- Temperature method. Based on the measurement of basal temperature. A sign of ovulation is an increase in temperature by 0.2 - 0.6 ºС. It should be measured every morning immediately after waking up, without getting out of bed. The measurement results are recorded and graphed. After a few months, it will be possible to determine on which day of the cycle ovulation occurs;
- Ovulation test strip. The most accessible, simple and effective method to find out about the onset of ovulation. The tester responds to hormonal fluctuations that occur as the egg matures and leaves the follicle.
There are other signs of approaching ovulation. For example, before “favorable days” the nature of the discharge changes: it becomes abundant and transparent. Characterized by aching pain in the lower abdomen, cramps, bloating, and tenderness of the mammary glands. Sexual desire increases.
How is fertility determined?
Assessment can be done in several ways.
1st method - determining the level of anti-Mullerian hormone in the blood. High values of this hormone indicate preserved reproductive function. With age, when the number of follicles decreases, the level of the hormone decreases. The norm is 1 - 2.5 ng/ml. This test is not prescribed for everyone, but for cases of infertility of unknown etiology, hormonal imbalance, and disorders of sexual development, when it is necessary to determine a woman’s reproductive capabilities.
Method 2 is to determine the ovarian reserve using ultrasound diagnostics. During the examination, the doctor determines the size of the ovaries, counts the number of antral follicles, that is, those follicles that are maturing and one of them will ovulate in the current cycle. It is carried out from the 2nd to the 5th day of the cycle using the transvaginal method. In a woman, a sign of good reproductive potential is the presence of 11 - 25 antral follicles. A result below these numbers means low ovarian reserve, when pregnancy is unlikely to occur naturally.
The 3rd method is a thorough hormonal examination, which determines the concentration of follicle-stimulating (FSH) and luteinizing hormones (LH), prolactin, testosterone, and thyroid hormones.
Supporters
These pills or injections keep the body normal if diseases or disorders can no longer be cured. This may be due to chronic diseases, constant malfunctions, poor functioning of endocrine organs, and others. For example, without insulin injections, a diabetic can die within a few days, even if he does not eat sweets.
Thyroxine tablets can stop the development of myxedema in people with thyroid dysfunction. These drugs can often cause harm:
- loading the gastrointestinal tract;
- irritating the mucous membranes of the stomach or intestines;
- causing hair loss or other unpleasant symptoms.
But it is impossible to refuse them, because these are the drugs that keep the patient alive.
Hormonal drugs have a profound effect on a woman’s body, especially if they are oral contraceptives or regulating agents. Therefore, remember that only a specialist can prescribe them after detailed tests. Tablets, injections, ointments and other medications with hormones often disrupt the functioning of the digestive system, excretory system, and can cause weakness, so consult your doctor if such symptoms occur.
Factors affecting female fertility
Fertility is affected by:
- condition of the reproductive organs - the possibility of conception is reduced in case of infectious-inflammatory, oncological processes of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, endometritis, oophoritis, salpingitis, cervicitis, genital infections, adhesions, tubal obstruction;
- state of the nervous system - negatively affected by stress, psycho-emotional disorders, depression. Vascular disorders and brain space-occupying formations, which can cause endocrine disorders, are also important;
- endocrine status - decrease or increase in sex hormones, imbalance of thyroid hormones, metabolic syndrome, excess weight, diabetes mellitus;
- bad habits - alcohol abuse, smoking, use of prohibited substances;
- general condition of the body - somatic, surgical diseases, injuries reduce the possibility of conception;
- physical activity and professional sports increase the level of testosterone, which is present in a woman’s body in minimal quantities. Testosterone reduces the likelihood of conception;
- monotonous diet, poor in nutrients, vitamins and micro-macroelements;
- intrauterine manipulations - curettage, termination of pregnancy;
- immune disorders - the production of antisperm antibodies that destroy male germ cells;
- exposure to medications - hormonal contraceptives used to treat other diseases (for example, cycle disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis), radiation and chemotherapy for cancer.
