Is Jennifer Garner expecting a baby?

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio

The actors played together in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. They have known each other for many years, but it was these shootings that brought them even closer together. During his Golden Globes speech, Pitt, who won the best supporting actor award, singled out DiCaprio, calling him his "partner in crime." As a joke, of course. “He is a real star. Gentleman. Without you, brother, I wouldn't be here. If anything, I’ll share the raft with you,” he joked, hinting at Leo’s role in Titanic.

Will Smith and Justin Bieber

The actor at one time was not only a friend, but also a mentor to the young singer. They talked on the phone every week about life. Justin’s manager Scooter Braun spoke about this: “Will told me: “Justin has to go through life’s trials. You won't be able to stop him. This is youth at its best." Will and Justin are still friends to this day.

Career blossoming

In 1995, the young acting tandem was noticed by aspiring director and screenwriter Kevin Smith. The guys took a liking to him during the filming of the film “Loafers”, and although the film did not become outstanding, since then the Affleck-Damon duo has appeared in almost every Smith comedy: “Chasing Amy”, “Dogma”, “Jay and Silent” Bob", "Jersey Girl".

Smith co-produced the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, which brought Affleck and Damon incredible popularity. The main role of Will, a janitor boy with a phenomenal IQ, was played by Matt, and Hunting's best friend was none other than Ben Affleck. The plot was based on the same 20-page story that the Occidental College teacher rejected with a laugh.

The film's rental was 22 times higher than the amount spent on its creation. In 1998, the successful film received two Oscars: for best screenplay and for best supporting actor (this statuette went to Robin Williams); that same year, the film's script received a Golden Globe, and the friends were awarded an honorary award from the National Board of Review for their special contribution to cinema.

A wide variety of offers rained down on the young actor, from the tragicomedy “Shakespeare in Love,” where Affleck’s character witnessed the love triangle of the heroes Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph Fiennes and Colin Firth, to the disaster film “Armageddon.” On the set of Michael Bay's film, the actor was immediately surrounded by the Hollywood elite: his co-stars were Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi and Billy Bob Thornton, and the beautiful Liv Tyler became the "film lover" of Affleck's hero.

In 2001, the historical drama “Pearl Harbor” premiered, instantly becoming a leader in the world box office. This time Affleck shared the triumph with Josh Hartnett and Kate Beckinsale.

In 2003, Affleck starred in the film adaptation of the Daredevil comic book, which he adored from early childhood. The film collected a good amount at the box office and received good reviews from critics, but the films that followed it, “Gigli” and “Surviving Christmas,” practically failed. His duet with Jennifer Lopez in “Gigli” was called the worst acting tandem in the history of cinema.

However, Affleck’s popularity was not affected even by two failures in a row. In 2006, he and Adrien Brody were cast in the lead roles in the film The Death of Superman (originally Hollywoodland). This biographical film, dedicated to the mysterious death of artist George Reeves, won many awards; Ben received the honorary Volpi Cup and Golden Globe awards.

In 2009, Affleck took part in the crime thriller Smoking Aces, joining the epic about the confrontation between the FBI and the mafia with a supporting role (Jack Dupree). The leading actor in the project was Ryan Reynolds, who played special agent Richard Messner.

After Aces, Affleck slowed down the pace of his acting, devoting most of his free time to his own projects, where he acted as a director and screenwriter.

One of these projects was the political thriller “Operation Argo,” the script of which was based on real events. The plot is based on the story of the rescue of American diplomats from captivity after the seizure of the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979. Brad Pitt was considered for the main role of CIA agent Tony Mendez, but due to his busy schedule he was unable to find time for such a large-scale project, and Ben had to combine directing duties with acting. But Bryan Cranston managed to leave the set of the series “Breaking Bad” and play Mendes’ boss Jack O’Donnell.

Despite the fact that many accused Affleck of being overly free in his interpretation of historical facts, in 2013 his third directorial experience received three Oscars, including a statuette for the main nomination for Best Picture.

In 2009, the world saw him in the role of the lover of the charming Jennifer Aniston in the comedy “Promising does not mean marrying.” And in 2014, viewers were fascinated by the development of the plot of the detective thriller “Gone Girl,” where Affleck’s character had to solve a string of intricate mysteries in order to find his missing wife, brilliantly played by Rosamund Pike.

In 2020, a large-scale blockbuster with his participation was released: “Batman vs. Superman.” Affleck played Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne in the November 2020 sequel Justice League. In the same role, he appeared in the film “Suicide Squad” with Margot Robbie, which allowed viewers to look into another camp of the confrontation between good and evil. Both films were received lukewarmly, especially by DC Comics fans.

Ben Affleck – Batman – Bruce Wayne

Jennifer Anne Garner was born on April 17, 1972 in the Texas city of Houston. The girl was brought up very strictly; her parents forced her to spend six hours every day in the ballet hall. And almost all the entertainment of modern teenagers was strictly prohibited for girls. Also, a veto was imposed on any “inappropriate” attributes in clothing and appearance, be it a fashionable hairstyle or earrings. But this is precisely what, over time, made it possible for sweet Jennifer to turn into one of the most stylish and original representatives of all of Hollywood. This became compensation for the hardships that she had to endure in childhood and adolescence. Jennifer was the middle of three daughters. Mom Pat Garner worked as an English teacher, and dad Bill Garner was a chemical engineer. In the early 80s, the whole family decided to move to the quieter town of Charleston in western Virginia. It was there that the future actress spent her childhood.

During her teenage years, Jennifer discovered a passion and even an ardent love for playing the saxophone and dancing. But, despite such interesting hobbies, after school she went to study at Denison Higher Educational Institution in Ohio. The girl chose chemistry as her specialization. It was there that she began to get involved in theater; she spent all her free time from classes in the student theater. At the same time, the love for playing on stage only grew faster and faster. Jennifer soon realized that this was her destiny, her calling. She decided to devote her whole life to this and simply transferred to the acting department. So the girl received a diploma in dramatic art. After some time, she decided to move to New York to study at Yale University. Jennifer found part-time work as a waitress, but at the same time tried to find a place on television or in films. She tirelessly went to all kinds of castings, screen tests and selections, hoping to get at least some role in order to continue to develop her career.

Very quickly she found her place in a Broadway production called A Month in the Country. After this, events began to develop incredibly quickly. Within a few months, she left New York and went to Los Angeles. It was in this city that filming for television channels began. Garner’s television debut was associated with the film “Zoya”. After that, she starred in various television series for another two years. Jenn also had several small roles in films. At the beginning of the new millennium, she starred in the drama “Alias” by JJ Abrams. The series became mega-successful, and the girl received a Golden Globe in 2002 as “Best Actress in a Drama Series.” In total, during the release of this film, the girl was nominated for the Emmy and Golden Globe awards four times. Jennifer also received a Screen Actors Guild Award. After that, she decided to try herself as a director on one of the episodes of “Alias,” and then the entire fifth season.

After such success, she again acted in films, playing a small role in the film “Catch Me If You Can.” There was also a role in the films Daredevil and Elektra. The main role went to the girl in the film “From 13 to 30.” Garner is also good because she is ready to perform all sorts of tricks on her own. She even got injured on the set of “Alias.” She also managed to appear in the film “Catch and Release.” She was invited to voice a character in the film Charlotte's Web. Jennifer founded her own production company called Vandalia Films. She is also one of the producers of the films “A Vacation from Each Other” and “Being with You.” She was also invited to the film “Open Hearts,” but she gave preference to her family. In 200, Garner married Scott Foley, but they lived together for only four years. In the summer of 2005, actor Ben Affleck became Garner's new chosen one. The family welcomed two charming daughters, Violet Anne Affleck and Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck. Now the couple is again expecting a new baby.

“2+1”, 2020, dir. Yugo Gelen

The French title of the new good comedy with Omar Sy at the Russian box office was wisely changed from the original “Tomorrow It All Begins” to “2+1” - to remind of the film “1+1”, which squeezed out more than one liter of audience tears (by the way, this name also appeared only in Russian box office), in which Xi played a good-natured assistant to a disabled rich man. In the new film, Xi again plays a man forced to get along with someone completely different from him. The “plus one” of his hero is his abandoned baby daughter. The mother of the girl, with whom the hero C Samuel had a fleeting affair, brings the child and disappears for eight years.

“Along the Milky Way”, 2020, dir. Emir Kusturica

The premiere of a new film by the singer of the life of the Balkan gypsies is always an event, at least in Russia. “Along the Milky Way” is a special event: the main roles in it were played by the director himself and Monica Bellucci. You have already seen the rest (almost everything) - in “Underground”, “Life as a Miracle”, “Time of the Gypsies”: love against the backdrop of the Serbian-Bosnian conflict, and wine flowing, and insanely funny drunken dances, and animals behaving like people, and people behaving like animals.
