When young people are going on a romantic date, they think through their image, outfit, makeup, and hairstyle to the smallest detail.
That is, both the man and the woman try to look as beautiful, dignified as possible and make a positive impression on their partner. At the same time, overlooking one detail can completely ruin the entire effect. We are talking about alcohol, without which not a single rendezvous can be done today. Or, more precisely, we are talking about the wrong alcohol, which can play a cruel joke on you and ruin even the most romantic and ideal date. In order not to make a mistake with your choice, it would be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the advice of experts. Once you decide which drinks will accompany you during a romantic evening, you can buy them on the Alcoland.com.ua website.
Cinematic picture and reality
When they talk about whiskey, an associative series immediately arises, consisting of an elegant man in an expensive suit, luxury and aristocracy. But not everything is so simple. Whiskey contains large amounts of congeners, which is why alcohol can destroy your body in a very short time. In the morning you will have a severe hangover and shame for everything that happened the day before. Therefore, if you do not want to lose face, it is better to avoid drinking whiskey on a date.
Beer is no less insidious. On the one hand, this is a light alcoholic drink that is unlikely to quickly lead to intoxication. But the problem is that his weakness is his main drawback. It is difficult for a person to stop at a certain stage and, as a rule, he drinks much more than he should. As a result, you get drunk and behave either violently or unusually sad and quiet, but in any case you make an unpleasant impression and look inadequate. Young ladies should not at all drink beer on a date, since it does not add romance, femininity, or sexuality to their image. And in general, beer, romance and sophistication are incompatible concepts.
Pavlova with strawberries
Pavlova is a dessert made from whipped egg whites with fruit and, for example, whipped cream. You can bake the whites in the form of small baskets or one large basket, but the main thing is that the crust on the outside should be crispy, and the meringue on the inside should resemble a soufflé.
Previously, I baked at 140ºC for about an hour (a large basket), but today I decided this: an hour at 130ºC, and then at 170ºC for literally 5-7 minutes. This way, the inside of the meringue remains soft, but baked, and the outside is crispy and thick.
You will need:
- 3 squirrels
- 150 g fine sugar
- 1 tsp starch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 coffee l. vanilla extract or 1/2 packet vanilla sugar
- baking tray lined with baking paper
- Separate the whites from the yolks.
- Beat the whites at maximum speed until thick and the whisk attachment leaves a clear mark.
- Now add sugar and beat for a couple of minutes until thick and shiny. The sugar should dissolve (this can be determined by rubbing the mixture between your fingers).
- Add starch, lemon juice and extract, beat for a few more minutes until a very thick, dense mass is obtained.
- Draw a circle on baking paper and place the mixture in the form of a basket.
- Bake at 130ºС for 50-60 minutes, then dry well at 170ºС for 5-7 minutes. The finished meringue is slightly caramel in color.
- In the meantime, wash and dry the strawberries (as many as you like).
- Add a spoonful of powdered sugar. I also added a teaspoon of Cointreau and really liked how it brought out the strawberries. But you need very little of it. Stir and reserve.
- Cool the finished tartine to room temperature. If your meringue loses its crispness over time, there is a way to fix it: sprinkle a thin layer of powdered sugar immediately after cooling.
- Add strawberries (also cream or some kind of cream if desired).
Beauty and alcohol – how to combine them?
Madame Pompadour once said that champagne is the only drink a woman can drink and not worry about her beauty. In some ways she was right. The main thing is not to overdo it with the amount you drink. And to be honest, champagne is suitable to accompany a romantic evening, but there are certain restrictions. After all, not every body is able to react correctly to the bubbles and sparkling nature of the drink. Therefore, if you are not sure that you know how your body will behave after a glass or two of this exquisite drink with bubbles, then it is better to refuse it in favor of a more suitable drink, that is, wine.

Ideal choice
The most correct decision when choosing an alcoholic drink for a date would be to choose wine. True, the wine should not be fortified, otherwise the effect from it will be no less unexpected than from whiskey.
According to research, after drinking a glass of red wine, a person becomes more open and relaxed. In addition, a glass of wine gives you confidence and makes you more sociable. Wine helps you relax, the main thing is not to overdo it.
By the way, in winter, hot wine, that is, mulled wine, will be an excellent accompaniment to a romantic evening. It will warm not only the body, but also the soul.
By the way, the choice of wine is also influenced by the dishes that you will eat during the rendezvous. If your menu is fish-based, then you need to choose white wine. If meat food prevails on the table, then you need to choose red wine. Good wine, regardless of color, sweetness and taste parameters, can be purchased here.
Champagne and wine also have a symbolic meaning, as they are associated with a holiday, something solemn, long-awaited and desired.
Cocktails will help add originality and special brightness to the atmosphere. You can prepare them yourself or entrust this difficult task to an experienced bartender.

Cherry cookies from the heart
What could be better than heart-shaped cookies? A true classic with many cooking options. Ingredients: ● Mary's Bakery brand flour - two glasses; ● “Farmer Collection” brand egg – one piece; ● Nuts (pecans) – half a glass, toasted and cut; ● Cherry jam of the “Babushkin Cellar” brand – half a glass; ● Powdered sugar – two tablespoons; ● Baking powder – half a teaspoon; ● Butter brand “Milk Patterns” – 50-70 g; ● Vanilla – one teaspoon; ● Salt to taste; ● Sugar to taste; ● Cinnamon to taste.
Cooking:
Sift flour with baking powder. In a food processor or blender, thoroughly mix the nuts, powdered sugar, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Add butter to the mixture and beat again, add egg, vanilla and beat even more thoroughly. Now add flour and knead slowly. Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for two hours. After the break, roll out the dough into a layer approximately 3 mm thick and cut out identical squares. Using a special mold or knife, cut out hearts in half of the squares. Let the dough “rest” for another 10-20 minutes, and at the same time preheat the oven to 180-200°C. Place our future cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the oven for 10 minutes. Heat the jam in a separate container until it thickens. Then let it cool. After cooking, brush the squares with jam and cover the hearts with powdered sugar. The hearts should cover the squares - you get a whole cookie with a cherry filling.
Macaron is not pasta
A famous French dessert that is very popular in Italy. Pasta is not so common here, so it’s time to learn how to cook it. Ingredients: ● Almond flour - one glass; ● Egg white – three pieces (needs to stand for about a day); ● Sugar – two tablespoons; ● Food coloring – two tablespoons; ● Fruit jam, cream or chocolate spread – 100-150 g.
Cooking:
Using a mixer or blender, thoroughly beat the egg whites with sugar and add coloring. Sift the flour and powdered sugar; lumps are not allowed. Add the dry mixture to the egg whites. Slowly beat again. Fill a pastry bag or regular plastic bag with the resulting mixture. We put parchment on a baking sheet and squeeze our dough out of the bag, forming fairly thick cookies. Let the dough sit (dry) for about 20 minutes until a crust forms. At the same time, preheat the oven to 150°C. We send the cookies to bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked. We take it out and cool it. On the flat side of the pasta we apply the filling pre-prepared to your taste. Glue the two halves together - a delicious sweet hamburger is ready!
Chocolate brownie with raspberries
Chocolate and raspberries are the most romantic combination. Valentine's Day will be truly sweet. Ingredients: ● Wheat flour – one glass; ● Egg – four pieces; ● Butter – 100 g; ● “Fluid Meadows” brand milk – two glasses; ● Cocoa (powder) brand “Embrace” – half a glass; ● Berries (raspberries or others to taste) – 200 g. ● Coffee (espresso) – two tablespoons; ● Vanilla – 1 teaspoon; ● Powdered sugar – half a glass; ● Sugar to taste.
Cooking:
Melt the butter and let it cool. In a bowl, mix flour and cocoa powder. In a separate container, mix egg whites with powdered sugar and sugar - beat (you can add a few drops of vinegar) until thick foam. Add melted butter, strong coffee and vanilla to the egg yolks. Beat for about two to three minutes until the mixture is homogeneous. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Prepare a baking dish, grease it with oil. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Add slightly warm milk to the container with the flour mixture and mix again. Now pour the egg whites into the mixture in three additions, stirring thoroughly each time. Place the dough in the prepared pan and bake for an hour. After cooking, cool the crust. The cake should turn out very tender, so it’s convenient to cut it straight into the pan into portioned cakes. Decorate with berries on top and serve. Valentine's Day is not only a holiday for all lovers, but also an excellent occasion to get together with your loved ones at the table. Come to YES! stores, buy the necessary ingredients and prepare delicious desserts.

Thematic rendezvous
If you want to add Italian romanticism to your date, sambuca must be present on the table. If the evening is in the style of English aristocracy, then you cannot do without a glass of quality gin. And, if you want a little lightness and even frivolity, ease, a kind of freedom, then use good rum as an accompaniment.
As for cognac, it all depends on the level of your gourmet taste. But, as a rule, its taste is too complex and cognac is considered a more formal drink than a romantic one.
Vodka during a date is the same bad manners as beer or whiskey.
When choosing an alcoholic menu for your evening, remember that what you drink, how you drink it, and, of course, how much is important.

Unusual desserts for a romantic dinner
Chocolate noodles with fruit sauce and caramel
- We will need a hundred-gram bar of dark chocolate (cocoa content from 72%), two tablespoons of honey, half a glass of hot water, a glass of flour, a pinch of salt, three oranges, four tablespoons of brown sugar, a teaspoon of vegetable oil, rosemary and powdered sugar.
- We dilute honey in hot water. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, remove it, add flour, a pinch of salt, a little water and knead the dough. If necessary, place the lump in a plastic bag for half an hour (if the dough is very steep). Sprinkle the table with flour, roll out the dough into a very thin layer and cut into noodles, which we lightly dry.
- Prepare the sauce. We remove the zest from the oranges, peel them, set aside a couple of slices for decoration, and extract the pulp from the rest. Heat the butter in a frying pan, melt the sugar in it, add individual orange seeds and a little zest for color, cook until thick. Then dip the orange pulp into the sauce for a few seconds and turn it off.
- Boil the noodles in boiling water for no more than three minutes; they should be firm (al dente). Place in bowls, top with pulp and pour over sauce. Decorate with the remaining zest, rosemary and powdered sugar.
